Very handy
I loved trying the 3M MP160 Pocket Projector... because it does the job it is supposed to do. The 3M MPro 160 is literally small enough to fit in your pocket (though not very comfortably) and will easily fit into most laptop bags and brief cases. Like all projectors of any size, the 3M Pocket Projector MPro160 has its limitations. If you give presentations on the road to small groups, this projector can make your life easier.

Works great.
Easy to use. Works great. Only downfall is the Tripod that comes with it is not very sturdy. The one I bought (the Sunpack SPK620786 is even worse. The projector is great. I thought the resolution might be to blurry, but for the price and the size of the projector is great. I've got my friends buying them.

Good product - lots of room for improvement
I often bring employees and coworkers into my office to view presentations or demonstrate items. However, it's not optimal to have three or four people hovering around a computer monitor. I thought the 3M pocket projector would be the solution to my problems. I was only 1/2 right. Lets start with the pros: - the projector is incredibly easy to set up and comes with a standard vga/video cable out of the box. - the rechargeable battery lasts up to two hours making the projector a decent portable solution - the image quality is decent and can be projected to a fairly large size in the right lighting - This thing is cheap. Look at the price! Amazon's price was $150 less than our office equipment supplier's this brings me to the cons; - the projector is not any good unless you can dim the lights. the lights from my office are controlled by a switch for the rest of the floor. I can't turn down the lights and this projector is not nearly bright enough to combat normal overhead fluorescent lighting. - the image quality is inconsistent at the edges. you can get the center of the image in good focus but the quality suffers around the outside edge. - the included tripod is not flexible and does not allow for effective positioning of the projector. I find i'm better off propping it up on some books Overall I can say I'm looking forward to the next generation of this product because the current one falls a little short.

3M Pocket projector
Amazingly small and convenient. Easy to carry anywhere. Good image definition according to its size, though you really need a dark room and speakers to amplify sound. I am happy to have it, sure you will too.

Purchased a Defective Product
The projector I purchased never worked. I thought i was doing something wrong when I connected it to my Mac, but sure enough after calling 3M, the woman there told me she had never heard of such an issue and that the unit I had was broken. So, I bought a defective product to bring to Ghana for a two month trip of workshops and presentations and I DOES NOT WORK. This is why I give the product such a low rating.

Two Stars
Cannot find cables for this projector. There were no instructions, etc with the projector.

convenient
Size is great, set up is non-existent (just plug it in.) I was worried that it might not be bright enough, but I was able to use in my classroom without even closing the blinds (although it was even better with them closed. Resolution is much better than I anticipated; I used it in a large room and projected on an entire wall without losing quality. If you want to plug in to your phone you will need one more adapter.

Great for Film Festivals
Excellent projector for portable use, plug it into an iPhone, use the video player app, and watch your own movies, or show them to others

A great piece of kit
This is a great gadget which I bought having viewed a friends earlier model in action. Had I not seen one in action I would never have considered buying this type of projector as I assumed it would be rubbish (having only experienced large and expensive work and home cinema projectors). But seeing in in action, it is great for what it does. I have given it 5 stars as I love what it does but would rate the quality at 4 stars given how small, light and convenient it is. To be fair, the room needs to be dark and I used it to project movies onto the wall of a holiday apartment for the family, (the wall was white with an aertex type surface which is not flat but this seemed to make little difference). The projector was then placed on a table projecting upwards at about a 25 degree angle, set up time a couple of minutes. Used like this the quality was perfectly viewable and so much better than watching a laptop screen as we did in the past. The tripod in the box is not the best but still works ok. The leads are not the longest but again work ok and connect to most outputs so there is no real need to buy anything extra if you don't want to. To sum up, its not HD quality but for the price, size, weight and convenience its a great product.

I bought this item in good faith. What I didn't realise was that if I opened the item and switched it on (which I had to do in order to see if it would be suitable), this invalidated me returning it. Catch 22 folks. Great wee item, but was not a big enough lux for me to use when teaching during the day. If you want to use it in a dark room for movies or slide shows/presentations this is for you. If you want to use it in a brightly lit room, don't buy. I'm not stuck with a projector that has cost me £280 and I can't return it.

Great image quality. Uses proprietary connector cables
The image is surprisingly bright and clear for such a small device. The battery (at least for now) lasts long enough to watch a film from start to finish. Cons - It uses a proprietary connector for audio/sound, so it's another set of cables/adaptors to carry around and I'm sure it'll be a pain to replace if they are ever misplaced. Also, you only get a really tiny cable. If not for this, I'd have given it 5 stars. - The built-in speaker is almost useless. Even my phone has a more powerful speaker. - The power cord is similarly super short. The battery partially makes up for this, but it unnecessarily short. - The inclusion of the tripod is a nice touch, but it fits into the speaker a bit far away from its centre of gravity. This plus the way that the connectors fit at the end, means that it takes a bit to figure out how to set it up stably. Once you do, it is OK; but the first time I used the projector, I tipped it over several times.
