This is like the Cadillac of juicers in my opinion. This is the third juicer I've owned. The previous two were centrifugal juicers and each lasted about a year. Once I realized I was serious about juicing, I spent the money on this Ventray model, which is a masticating juicer. I thought the price was reasonable. I think it does an amazing job of separating the juice from the pulp. The pulp comes out really dry. The first picture I was juicing pineapple; the second picture shows carrots. It comes with a strainer that you can set right on top of the container to catch the foam (such as from the pineapple) if you want. So far I have nothing negative to say about it, plus it's quiet! I make juice in large batches so the set up, clean up is not a big deal. If you were going to make one glass of juice it might be too big for what you want. The motor is heavy also. I did follow the recommendations in the manual and gave the juicer about a 30 minute rest between the 16 bags of juice I made (one rest break) I was afraid it might overheat (which the manual cautions you about). That might be a drawback for some, but it was OK for me. I also cut my fruits and veggies into recommended small pieces. I hope I get more than a year out of this juicer. I think this is an excellent product.

Im and avid juicer. This is my 4th and longest running. It never fails, easy to clean and it presses 90 %. The pulp is always dry so there's very little waste.

I bought this juicer for my daughter who’s into juicing. Although the juicer has several parts , It was pretty easy to assemble and clean. The machine is surprisingly quiet compared to our old juicer. It also pressed out more juice in comparison to the old juicer. I’m glad we have it, and I’m looking forward to making lots of fresh & healthy juices.

The juice this slow masticating juicer produces is well worth the price. The slow process ensures the best tasting juice and it is superior to the centrifugal method. All pulp is separated and comes out dry. The part that is tricky is the amount of time it takes to effectively clean this machine. There are several areas in which the remaining pulp can be hard to clean. One area is the rubber enclosure for the pulp extraction. You have a very narrow opening and only a toothpick or some very thin knife is needed to get into that limited space. If the amount of time to clean is an obstacle, then this machine is not for you. However, if you can get past the time and the effort to clean this machine, then it is a good selection and produces high quality results.

Nice juicer, attractive, thoughtful higher-end details. Impressed at first. However, it quit — mid-juicing — three times during the two times I used it. The first time required me to completely disassemble it to get it to work again. The second time I had to reverse/forward cycle it over and over and over, twice, to get it going again. Much worse performance that the $88 masticating juicer it replaced.

The great slow masticating juicer. Some will complain that it clogs. The reason that it gets clogged or any juicer gets clogged is because you must preprocess the food before you put it into the juicer. The videos make it look like you can just juice away but really that's only if you're making a glass of juice. If you are trying to make batches of juice, you will need to run your food through a food processor first so that the juicer does not have to break down heavy fibrous produce. A good example is celery. Salary is very heavy and fibrous. The juicer cannot break down a lot of heavy fiber produce. What I have done to get around this problem is to run my food through a food processor first. I can make 2 gallons of juice without the juicer clogging up. Also, it makes for an easier cleanup. I hope this is helpful.

Tried many masticating juicers on Amazon, love this machine. It is the heaviest one I've tried but great quality and very quiet which is a "must-have" in an apartment unit. I love the cup strainer for model 809. The only issue is cleaning the pulp spout afterwards which has a flat opening but the included brush helps a lot. Assembly takes some getting used to but overall worth the learning curve after some of the others that I've tried. Biggest selling point was the wide chute, less prep time, and $30 off.

We purchased this one to upgrade from our old juicer The Juiceman Series 211, which is harder to clean and very noisy. This one is a lot quieter, easier to clean, and is a cold press juicer which supposedly gives you more nutrients into your juice. The pulp extracted seems to be dry so it seems to get most of the moisture out of the fruit. It is easy to put together, use, and clean, and seems to be well built. We are hoping to get many years use out of it.

I am pleased with my juicer. Have used several times first time I cut fruit & vegetables large, but since than been cutting medium to small. Goes down the chute with no problem. Works fine and clean good .. even the pulp washes out with little help with brush.. I used my brush to clean my straws since I have many. I do use strainer to catch pulp. Easy to assemble and not loud

Pour une première utilisation, j'ai commencé par un jus "classique" : 4 poires Comice, 2 pommes Pink lady toutes découpées en quarts et j'ai obtenu 1 litre de jus particulièrement goûteux et sucré. Deuxième test : 2 belles grenades, 500 g de fraises et 3 mini barquettes de myrtilles. Résultat parfaitement concluant avec plus d'un litre de jus savoureux et pulpeux (j'avais enlevé le filtre). Vu que toutes les parties se démontent, leur nettoyage reste assez simple. L'appareil n'est pas très bruyant et son poids inspire confiance ! A confirmer sur la durée mais pour l'instant, je suis conquis !
