Zippo Nautical Lighters

The construction is that timeless Zippo quality that we all know and love. The review here is for the artwork and application, which are well worth the money. It’s very much in that Sailor Jerry tattoo style of art, and the colors pop. The art and application were neat and clean. And, this is one of the few that has art all the way around all sides and top (bottom is the standard Zippo marking stamping). And of course, that classic Zippo click. Get you one.

I bought this simply cause I loved the design and zippo co. has never let me down. It definitely appears to be a genuine zippo so I’m assuming it will work just as good as any other zippo but Im saving it for a special occasion so I don’t want to open it yet so I seeing as it is a genuine zippo I’m sure it will light just as good as any other zippo lighter. The design is great and the craftsmanship is on point. It’s just as durable as any other zippo lighter as the company makes great products. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

It being a warm summer evening, I took a moment to step onto my neatly manicured greensward and immerse myself in ruminations, and my pipe. With a firmly packed bowl of Burley and Cavendish, a blend fondly remembered from my youth, it being favored by my grandfather, I drifted of into reminiscences of bygone days. The broad, immaculate lawn stretched into the darkness, dimly illuminated by the glow of the high windows of my stately manor, yet I found myself lacking a single match. My meerschaum lay cold in my hand, my finger tracing the delicate artistry of the carvings, their meaning lost to time, a mystery I had ponder many a night, but at this moment I desired nothing more than a source of ignition. Casting my eyes about in the deepening gloom, a faint glimmer shown from the plinth supporting a heroic marble effigy of bold Perseus astride the mighty Pegasus. A lighter? How it came to rest there on the stone, I could not say, yet I was drawn to it's presence. Black. The case was a shadowy form, so dark and unreflective it seemed to drink in the light, drawing the night ever closer about me. On the face was inscribed a figure, monstrous, terrifying yet somehow entrancing, glaring balefully up at me, as if it knew my every sin and weakness. Shining faintly like ancient gold, the eyes burrowed into my soul, leaving me breathless with terror. Reaching slowly for this artifact of forgotten power, my hands trembling with foreboding, I slowly lifted this eldritch thing from a forgotten age, and, shivering in trepidation, flipped open the top, unleashing a sound unlike any i had heard before, a bright, somehow cheerful TRRIING! Like a nightingale's song echoing through a sepulchre. Soul-wrenching paroxysms of fear wracked my flesh as the wheel spun under my thumb, releasing a cascade of sparks, igniting the wick, which still carried the scent of sacred oils from a temple to forgotten gods. The flame danced in an imperceptible breeze which I could not detect with my mortal flesh, but could sense brushing over my soul, like the chill touch of a funeral shroud. I raised this dreadful device to my pipe's bowl and drew gently upon the stem, watching the eerie flame writhe into the tobacco, entranced by the primal interplay of the elements, as my pipe's bowl slowly warmed under my fingers. Staring into the endless night sky, stars seemed to ignite, blooming like tiny flowers only to dim, wither and die in a frozen moment spanning millenia. Across the heavens, eons passed, in an endless cycle of birth death and rebirth. Slowly a pattern emerged, unseen, but inescapable, a face, a grim visage, glaring endlessly from the void, terrifying, magnificent, malevolent. The same eldritch countenance that glimmered in ancient gold from the lighter I held in my shaking hand. Gentle curls of fragrant smoke drifted into the night, as the moon slowly rose over the trees, casting a silvery glow that banished the otherworldly gloom which still clung to my soul. The spell was broken, and the songs of night birds began, causing me to realize that the night had, until that moment, been as silent as a tomb. The moonlight cast into deep relief every detail of Perseus, Pegasus, and the broad manicure lawn, without a hint of the terrors I had witnessed in those brief, endless moments in the darkness. Fragrant wisps of smoke drifted on playful breezes, night birds sang, but I knew, someday I would have to pay the price for this eldritch artifact, this lighter born of the abyssal night, and that price I would gladly pay, for my soul had been scoured clean, and I can now finally face the future without dread, for who could fear uncertainty, after gazing into the face of Cthullu. This is an exquisite Zippo lighter!!! Has lots of vintage sailor tattoos in bright vivid display. A lot of thought went into it's artistry for appeal. It's so nice I display it. BUT, it is a very capable functional Zippo that can easily be seen as an Every Day Carry. Very happy with this purchase!!!

This is exactly what you think it is. Well made and a good design that doesn't seem to be wearing. It's a Zippo lighter skin. That's all there is to it.

The Zippo is such an experience in and of itself. The wonderful build and durability of this device makes its high maintenance life cycle seem worth it. And this particular piece is so stunningly beautiful, it's a pleasure to behold!

Super briquet, la qualité est au rendez-vous ! Le design est élégant et la prise en main parfaite. La flamme est puissante, résistante au vent et d’un beau ton orange. Petit point à noter : il faut le recharger assez souvent, mais c'est peut-être dû à ma façon de le remplir. Je recommande aussi d’acheter des pierres de rechange, car elles s’usent assez vite.
