Sweet little system. Tall model came with so-so SATA SSD.
Does everything I need in a tiny package. I was able to wall mount this so it is accessible but takes up no desk space. Behaves like a laptop of similar specifications, but no battery to take care of. The fan does run when in use, but not very loud.I had an extra 8GB DDR4 card on hand. Installed 8GB was the same Crucial model, so quality memory, but YMMV. The extra 8GB is worth getting and really easy to install.I was a little disappointed with the SATA SSD. An HP S700 is OK, but it is a lower end SATA SSD with mediocre specs. I ended up springing for a decent but affordable M.2 card and switched to that as a main drive. It boots a little quicker that way. I bought the tall because I wanted 2 drives anyway, so that's OK. The slim version doesn't have internal SATA, so the SSD will be M.2, but I don't know what they use.That said, the seller did a good job putting this together, and the Windows Pro setup was easy and clean, with nothing added beyond the usual Microsoft stuff.

More than one month old. Zero problems out of the box.
Bought the NUC8i3BEH version because I thought that the i3 version would be fast enough and hoped that the combination of the lower power requirements of the i3 processor and the tall case would make fan noise a non-issue.I was not disappointed. The unit is not used for gaming or extremely intensive applications and under these conditions feels quite snappy. Did not replace the "as shipped" BIOS since it was not that far back from the latest version and everything seemed to be working properly. It's great to get such good performance from such a tiny unit. Although it's now located on my desk I will probably use the VESA mounting plate that's included to mount it to the back of my monitor.
