Good product. For those trying to decide whether to get this 'L' version or the other read on...
Well made and works great. No noise. Some smart design features: it has no switches and it switches on when plugged in. Pairing is achieved just by plugging one unit into the other and they can be charged in this way too, meaning they require only one lead. All good ideas. Compared to a lot of the cheaper units, the battery is clearly physically bigger (and probably of higher quality) which will be why Boss can claim 10 hours of operating time. I tried two cheaper makes before buying this: The Lekato WS-70 and the Getaria one: The WS-70 has rave reviews everywhere but it did horrible things to my sound despite otherwise working well - it squashes out all the attack and is dull. The Getaria is great for its cheap price but it's a little noisy when used with distortion and the construction is somewhat flimsy compared to the Boss.I agonised over whether to buy this version or the version which simulates the treble roll-off caused by the capacitance of a lead. Even Boss' own sites contradict themselves a bit, with one saying the 'L' stands for low impedance and the other saying the only difference is the treble cut. After watching a Youtube video of a guy comparing the other one to a good lead, it seemed more like it was simulating a curly lead from the 1970s. The treble roll of was too much so I opted for this one - which they recommend as being for active guitars and synths etc. My own comparisons found this to be very similar to using a good quality lead so I don't really see the point of the other one. Why they didn't just make one model and put a switch on it for that I don't know. Also, on this 'L' version, the transmitter is a different colour to the receiver which seems like a useful and obvious thing to do, whilst on the other version they are the same. Unless you think that a fairly substantial treble cut would be a good thing for you I would buy this one.UPDATEHave now done four or five gigs with the system and it's been flawless. Worth the extra money over the cheaper systems.

great for busking with and recording
Cool - enough said. Had it for a couple of years now. great for busking with and recording without latency. Newer ones have usb-c - I am so jealous

For solar Guitar owners
Fantastic piece of equipment, less hassle with cables in the way for rehearsing. No issues with latency.Sounds great, doesn’t affect tone.I will say that you should be aware of owing a V shape guitar that the input jack on mine is at the back of the body. the transmitter is rubbing against my torso and leg where it could affect the signal touching against it.It could be designed a bit better for a better ergonomic use where you could adjust the transmitter out of your way depending where your input jacks are on the guitar where it’s not going to interfere.

Not recommended
Bit of a let down it lasted only half an hour and needed a recharge, after 3 days it dosen't seem to charge at all. It still lights up but dosen't charge. I left it on for hours but still no joy. I used to admire Boss but this has really put me off them now.

Excellent, for performing.
Very easy to set up, long time to charge (6hrs) but last for at least 3 or 4 hours live playing or practice. Maybe more if you need it.Boss quality built, and fit several different guitars 🎸

Died after 2 years
Lasted 2 years. Thought it was interference onstage at the end. Turns out it was the batteries just dying. Died onstage right before first song

Great sound
Very handy bit of kit to have for live gigs, saves all the heartache of restricted manoeuvrability that comes with a lead, not to mention removing trip hazards. The sound quality has been perfect for me, and I haven’t experienced any signal interference. I would suggest first time users read the instructions carefully. You should twin the paired devices only after you have fully set up your stage and all the other instruments or tech you are using. The device will scan the venue for all other signals, and jump on a frequency that doesn’t clash with what’s already pinging around the space. My only wish is that the battery lasted longer. For longer sets you will need to disconnect it from your instrument and plug it in to charge at a convenient moment.
