White Marble Cheese Slicer

I like this cutter (I have two of them), but it is not overly sturdy. The wires last a decent amount of time if you are not too forceful. The three wires included with this cutter will probably break before the cutter does, so you'll need to find a supply of replacements which are the right size. Shop around; I found some that are much less expensive than those available at Amazon. But, eventually the handle nob may also break. Mine did, eventually, but it lasted seven or eight years (much longer than three wires). That's why I have two now, so I can immediately switch cutters when a wire or nob breaks and postpone putting a new wire on when it is convenient to do so.

This is a great item to have on hand if you buy cheese in bulk like we do. It is easy enough to use but does require some practice to get the right thickness on each slice. The set fits easily in my pantry for storage and the blade is nice and sharp and will last quite a while. It is nice that you are provided with an extra blade to change it out in the future.

Nice have marble cheese slicer. The material is durable and easy to clean after use. It is easy to use with softer smaller blocks of cheese. We like to buy big blocks of Colby jack from Sam’s and sometimes it can prove to be difficult to cut. Not the slicers fault. The wire is good to get through the cheese; however after a month it broke. The slicer does come with one replacement. I have ordered and additional pack of wires since I have to use the one provided. Overall it works well and is a good value for the cost.

Slices even big blocks of cheese with ease. Great customer service provided when first blade had too much slack and broke. The second blade taped to bottom was perfect.

Pretty item however it's near impossible to get the wire tight wich makes for not so easy slicing. First wire broke first time using.

Floppy, sloppy and barely choppy! Here's my experience: I hope the directions make sense to the seller/designer because they didn't help me. The wire on my new cutter arrived snapped in two, flopping about. The spare, tapped to the bottom, was the wrong size being too long for this model cutter. Luckily, I ordered spare wires with this cutter and my son, and I finally got one of them on, but it still doesn't look right or work correctly. Cutting any cheese doesn't make the final separation at the wire end by the handle. I must lift the cheese from the cutting surface to finish the cut. Sometimes, the block cheese doesn't like this and breaks off fragmented instead of being cut neatly! This is hard to explain. The cut in the stone at the opposite end from the hinged end needs deepening. If the wire was taught more in the handle, the cheese might be cut properly, but it isn't taught enough. I may take my Dremel tool to that trough at the handle end and deepen it. That may void any warranty I may have, but who cares, the thing doesn't work right as it is. On a positive note, the marble or stone base is attractive and heavy, hence the two stars. Unfortunately, the four tiny feet glued to the bottom are made of relatively rigid material, which allows the whole thing to slide on a smooth surface. So much for 'real world' engineering. I may look on Amazon for a simple handheld wire cheese cutter and use this marble base to cut cheese on. Of course, I could have done that to start and cut my cheese on a household plate. Sigh! Cosmetically the little matching stone handle grip looks ever so slightly misaligned to me. I guess it is the way the stone was drilled before the screw was affixed inside it. Someone probably did it quickly by hand just to be done with it, I do not know. I usually do not post low star ratings on Amazon because the seller doesn't care. Oh, they give it lip service that they care, but 'Show me the Money' is typically the motto of the day. This is the world we live in today. If it had arrived with the original wire unbroken, I may not have known of the problems mentioned until it was replaced, many months from now, when I wouldn't bother writing any rating. So, you all can take advantage of my misfortune here.

Es hermoso! No trae la opción de hablar con el vendedor, pero el hilo de acero venía roto, hay manera de que lo reemplacen sin tener que devolver todo el producto??

É um cortador manual e por isso não esperem algo fantástico. Cumpre seu objetivo. Realmente te corta bem, mas para isso você precisa alinhar bem pois se não as fatias saem tortas. Mas é muito bom 👍...um fio veio quebrado

I really like the weight of the cheese cutter and the non slip feet. My only issue is that the groove is angled upwards, so the wire doesn't cut through the cheese on the one side. You need to hold the cheese block and the slice that's almost cut through and lift it away from the board while holding the cutting handle down. It would be better if the groove was deeper. When the wire has just been tightened, it does cut better, but still doesn't go right through.

Fast delivery! A small area (see photo) had chipped but I believe it does not affect the performance of the cheese slicer.
