Pigeon Needs a Bath!, The-Pigeon series

Simple but does the job! Kids put everything in their mouths and books are no exception. I don't have to worry about this book being ruined if my child decides they want to eat it. They love playing with and "reading" it by themselves too. Also super easy just to clean and let air dry.

This is certainly the one and only time I've ever placed a pre-order on a children's book, and it was well worth it. Ever since my wife and I came across the "Pigeon" series by Mo Willems, and bought the first one for our son, all three of us have been crazy about his books ever since. My son owns and loves all of them, including the pigeon activity book. The Pigeon Needs a Bath is another great hit in the series, and honestly I feel is the best book yet in the series. The story is humorous; my son especially loves the very impressively thorough page where the Pigeon is coming up with his excuses as to why the water in the bath is too hot, too cold, and the many other reasons he justifies not wanting to get in. The story was humorous for both adults and children alike. It's longer than some of the other pigeon books, but still short enough that it can frequently be read and reread in a reasonable amount of time. And like the other Mo Willems books, on top of being great and wacky stories about the adventures and misadventures of the pigeons, the artwork is phenomenal and humorous as well. The artwork is simple yet very expressive. It's easy on the eyes, and I have a feeling that both the comical stories and artwork in these books will make them fairly timeless. Our son is still young, but I can already imagine myself taking these books back out to one day read them to my grandkids and I don't feel as if they will seem aged or out of date. Overall, whether you are completely new to the pigeon series, or a long time reader, The Pigeon Needs a Bath is an outstanding addition to the Mo Willems collection and a book that I can imagine almost any child being excited to read and laugh about over and over again. Bonus points too, it even seemed to make my kid more excited about bath time as well! Thank you Mo Willems, and please keep the Pigeon series coming!

This book for real taught my kids how to talk and how to read, and now I get it for all new parents. Mo Willems is the best ever, we've memorized every Piggie and Gerald book and every Pigeon book. And this one started it all for us, it's hilarious and sweet and SO much fun to read out loud. I love you, Mo Willems!

Great fun as a read aloud! I love the pigeon!!!

When I found out there was a new book, I preordered it just incase I would forget. But my daughter kept asking if we were any closer to April 1st, the release date. We made many trips to the calendar! She suggested that we place an order for another one for her elementary' s school library. So sweet! So I did. Right on the 1st they both came in. She read it right away and again after that! On the 6th of April she brought the second book to school for library day. The library teacher was so delighted and said she was going to wait until next year to order it (I assume for budget issues). She held the book and my daughter read it to the class. She emphasizes the words just right and said the kids laughed. She already had read it so many times so she was able to do that! The teacher said she is going to read it to each and every class that comes in on their library day. My daughter was happy and she never bragged that she brought it in. In fact no one knew. She just wanted to share the latest edition if this wonderful children's series with the world. Yes, we are fans are can't wait for the next book!

I used for my second graders. They adored the story, and asked me to read it again the next day. Adorable illustrations, and entertaining. They also asked me to purchase the entire series.

My daughter absolutely loves these books. Whenever we can get our hands on them, we buy them. They shipped and delivered very fast, and we had no issues.

J'ai découvert un univers absolument drôlissime à travers cette histoire que j'ai achetée pour ma fille de 6 ans afin de lui lire des histoires simples en anglais. C'est drôle, les illustrations sont magnifiques et expressives ...on s'amuse beaucoup avec ma fille. J'ai commandé une dizaine d'autres livres de l'auteur Mo Willems dont je me régale parce que c'est un auteur extraordinaire.
