I purchased two of these batteries for use in my alternate power supply (APS) which creates 110VAC when the power fails. They replaced a pair of Odyssey batteries (same model) that were 12 years old and working flawlessly. The batteries arrived very well packaged and required only vaccuming to remove some of the styrofoam packing bits. The batteries are AGM and do not leak if tipped and the poles do not occidize, even after 12 years of continuous use! They are amazing!

Received the battery for a new boat brand new motor and the battery needed charging from the start so I trickle charged it and noticed it never really took a full charge. The boat was a backup boat so I used it about 4 or 5 times a month and I kept a battery keeper on it , when I went to use it in February it barely started my motor and anytime I put any kind of load on it it would run down very quickly, maybe it’s just a defective battery I would be happy to try another one as a replacement because I know a few people with these batteries and they are excellent batteries normally. I also had my charging system checked out and it is good the motor is brand new with hardly any hours on it.

A truly fantastic car battery, still. I'm on my third unit in my Land Rover, the previous one lasted nearly 9 years including 5 of them sitting in a parked vehicle all winter (freezing temps) with no charger/maintainer. I'm hard on it too, running onboard air, fridge, lights, water pump, and several other pieces of camping equipment when out in the back country. Sadly, Amazon refuses to ship with anything other than their completely incompetent self-delivery service, which lost SIX of them somehow while out for delivery. After the SIXTH lost battery Amazon refused to send any more, and despite thousands in damages they've caused, have refused to do anything about it. Do yourself a favor and buy direct from Odyssey. It'll arrive on time if not early and even cost a little less.

Built like a tank, and weighs as much as well. Considering the price of this battery which is not cheap, the eventual service this battery will give will provide greater savings in the long run. It’s in my rig used for overlanding, and I wanted something that will not give up on me.

The reason I purchased an Odyssey battery was because they seemed to have a decent warranty. After 6 months the battery is junk! I tried working with the warranty department, learning their website and customer service only to find out they all s*ck!! They did respond back with a denial but no explanation. Now I'm not only out $650 but I have to purchase a good battery. I was recently at a marine dealer and I noticed there was a pallet full of batteries, 90% of them were Odyssey. Thought oh cr@p, now I have one for the pile! I hope this review will help your next purchase.

I only had one trip and its dead. But its just one the post and the company is replacing so thats good.

Amazon is the best, and this battery and manufacturer is the best. This battery is a stout product, around 80 lbs ... so you need to have a strong arm and back to tote this around if you use it like me in a small aluminum boat and power a Minn Kota 55 ft-lb motor. 5 year warranty. Full replacement at no cost with no hassle. Unbeatable. Battery received over 3 years ago. Kept on a Genius battery tender in the winters, and in summers during usage. It stopped holding a deep cycle charge to my satisfaction for long fishing trips in the high country of Colorado. So, instead of getting a 5-6 hour trolling session with enough juice to get you back to the jeep ... it started deteriorating to only 3-4 hours of usage and limping back to shore. I called Amazon. Explained the issue, and 3 days later in time for my next fishing trip - this bad boy arrived on my doorstep courtesy of UPS.

If you are purchasing this battery as a replacement for an older version of the same, be aware that the terminal positions have been switched. My 5 -1/2 year old battery I am replacing (ordering the exact same part number) has the terminal locations switched. So the cables will no longer work in my truck! For some strange reason, Odyssey has changed the battery design. Otherwise, once you understand the special charging requirements for this AGM battery, I am very pleased with its performance.
