If you own the Epson R3000 professional color printer you will find this stand is a perfect match. It will actually accommodate a wider printer easily. The R3000 printer sits on the top shelf with plenty of room on either side (enough to put something else). When you "open" the printer (rear and front carriers) you will find the room is still perfect because the stand is on wheels and it can be positioned away from walls or shelves as needed. (When you open the rear and front carriers they take up space in front and back of the R3000, but it just requires you to move the stand if it doesn't clear any walls or bookcases). When not using it, I keep the printer closed and covered with the stand positioned against one of my bookcases or walls as the case might be. Then simply position it as needed when printing. Meaning, when I use the printer (and it can be over several contiguous days) I just reposition the stand as needed so that the rear and front racks clear it. If you have plenty of room you can leave it sitting in the same place. The shelves below the top allow you to stack paper etc - I keep different size professional and gallery quality papers as large as 13x19, 11x14, 8x10, 5x7, 4x6, etc. I also keep several rolls of canvas, and professional photo paper. And of course a crate with inks. The R3000 is a thirsty printer. Ink prices being what they are, I do wish we could drill for ink or convert fat into ink. Ink prices are higher than oil. The stand is very attractive and complements the printer and any office, lab, studio where you may keep the printer and stands. A very neat, practical, clean and impressive setup. Being able to wheel is is priceless even if you only move it a few inches each way. When the printer is in operation the stand sits still specially with the wheels locked. It was NOT terribly difficult to assemble (30+ min while watching TV), it includes all the tools you need and it came with just enough bolts and hardware (no extras). And yes, the casters are plastic and kind of small and only 2 lock, but they do the job. One day if I break them, I will replace them with metal ones but for now they are fine. I do wish the stand was cheaper but quite frankly I couldn't find ANYTHING that compared to the height and size of this unit. It is fairly sturdy but not overly hefty. I carried it up to my studio on the second floor with little trouble resting on the steps as needed. I'm very happy with my purchase, and highly recommend it, specially for an R3000,

In general: This has to be one of the easiest pieces of office furniture I've ever assembled. The instructions are fairly easy to follow if you just need the exact shelving layout in the instructions/product images. All the screws lined up correctly, and wheels and side covers all snapped right on. The "cherry" surface is attractive and seems a good quality. One corner was a bit damaged but minimally and it's not noticeable, therefor not bothersome. The quality and sturdiness of this stand greatly exceeded my expectations, especially for the low price. Specific to my printer situation: If you've got oddly shaped/sized printers, it's helpful to get the sides and top support bar assembled, then spend some time measuring clearance needed before placing the bottom support bar and additional shelves. I bought this to house a 27" wide Canon Pro-100 and an Epson WF-7710. The product dimensions state the stand's width at 29.5", but that is just the top shelf, which extends beyond the legs. The inner width of the lower area is just under 25.5". Ideally, I'd have put the Canon on a lower shelf so that the Epson scanner could be more easily accessed up top, but the dimensions didn't allow. The Epson is a bit deep, too. So, this meant I also had to make some adjustments to placements of the support bar and shelf. In my case I needed to lower the bottom support bar in order for my printer/scanner to set back far enough for all four feet to be on the shelf (this is probably not recommended by the manufacturer, but it does not appear to change the sturdiness of the stand). I also needed the entire interior space in order to open the scanner, so I put the bottom support bar in the lowest possible location, put the bottom shelf right above that, and omitted the middle shelf. I had to make changes a few times as I went, but this was really simple and quick to do because the support bars and shelves each just have 4 screws (two per side), and use a hex key (I also have an electric drill with the right size hex). Once finished, the plastic side covers just snapped right into place to hide the screws. The wheels are handy since I'll need to get behind the printer stand on occasion when I'm loading specialty paper (mailing labels, cardstock, etc) to the lower printer. And honestly, it will make it easier for sweeping or messing around with plus, too. Overall, even with adjustments and compromises, I'm really happy with this stand.

I received this unit and was able to put it together myself in about an hour. Other reviewers are correct in that the supplied instructions consist merely of diagrams without language such as "Step 2. Using supplied wrench insert G screws in side panel A." The lack of written directions made it difficult at first to realize that the metal side panels have plastic covering that snap into place once all of the screws have been inserted into the shelves. The confusion arises because when the parts are removed from the packing box, the plastic covering the side units is already in place and needs to be removed in order to perform the assembly, which seems somewhat counter-intuitive. Again, written explanatory instructions would have been nice. A small wrench was supplied for turning four screws but the wrench was so flimsy that it bent while I was on the third screw, but I was still able complete the necessary task. All of the other items to be assembled required use of the Allen wrench that was supplied and it worked fine. Some reviewers have complained of difficulty in attaching the four casters at the bottom of the unit. I had no difficulty since mine snapped into place quite easily; I wonder if those other people thought that the casters were supposed to be pushed until they were flush with the bottom portions of the unit. If they pushed them that far, I doubt that the casters would turn easily but this could have been easily explained with better instructions. Once assembled, the unit moved easily and had a sturdy feel to it. I placed my workhorse black and white laser printer on the top, used the middle shelf for my phone and scanner and put my color printer on the bottom shelf. I am quite pleased with the purchase and am only deducting one star for the poor excuse of a wrench supplied and the problems caused by the lack of clear explanatory instructions mentioned above.

2021 UPDATE: After moving, I now do need to move this stand around on a more regular basis. I have long since misplaced the casters, so I contacted Safeco to see if I could order some new ones. The current casters are screw-in NOT mallet knock-ins! This is a great improvement, and Safeco sent me a set of the new ones for free...even though I offered to pay for them multiple times! After 7 years of use, this stand is still very sturdy and looks great. The new casters worked perfectly. SAFECO stands behind its products with great customer service. I would not hesitate to buy this again or any other of their products. Original Review: This is a very nice stand. It is very sturdy in its design and fits together nicely once assembled. Yes, the instructions could be a bit better, but I don't normally have a lot of trouble following a picture based assembly sheet, so it was not worth a deduction. I benefited from the previous post that suggested not to tighten everything until you had it pretty much assembled...that certainly helped. I thought about deducting a star because of the caster/wheel problem that has been noted in other posts. No, I could never get them into the locks; even with a rubber mallet. In the end though, my office is carpeted and I don't really have an intention of moving the stand around anyway. If you do intend to move the printers around, you might consider a different stand. I have a large Konica Color Laser on the top shelf, and a small HP B&W Laser on the middle shelf...both fit perfectly on the shelves with room to spare and plenty of space for letter and legal paper on the bottom shelf.

The stand came in without any casters and a few missing screws and I suspect that happened after it left Safco as the box was damaged. I called Safco and was immediately connected to customer service without being put on hold. I told the very courteous lady there about the missing casters and screws she got right on it. No questions asked other than the model number, my name and address. The casters and screws were mailed out right away at no charge, and I got them 3 days later and finished putting the very sturdy stand together. I am very pleased with the quality of the material in the stand. Appears very strong and sturdy, unlike a lot of such computer stands I've seen. And all of the screws line up perfectly with the hole. Instructions probably could have used just a little bit of additional explanation but that really wasn't a problem. I am also very impressed with their customer service. They left me with the impression that if there is a problem of any kind with their product, they are going to make it right and asap too. Super customer service!

Have been using this a couple of months now -- so far it's very sturdy and serves its purpose well. I have a large Brother HL-L5200DWT (dual tray laser printer) on the top shelf, a Canon Pixma 6200 Inkjet color all-in-one on the middle shelf, and printer paper and some books on the bottom, so there's a significant amount of weight on the table. I was able to adjust the center shelf enough that the lid can be opened on the Canon for scanning without a problem. For an inexpensive printer stand, it looks really nice. I bought the cherry version ... I have it sitting next to an $8K Hekman cherry desk/credenza and it really doesn't look noticeably out of place. It is sitting in a corner so the plastic on the sides isn't really visible, but I'm happy with how it looks. It was also easy to put together, and it arrived much quicker than a more expensive piece would have. At this price, I would definitely buy this again if I had a need.

It's amazing to me that I have three grown men living in the same house, yet I always get stuck assembling these things by myself. This was a pleasant surprise, though---it was in pristine condition, no damage to any of the pieces and no missing parts. It was sturdy and good quality, a breeze to assemble, even by myself. It's pretty utilitarian, but I needed something on short notice to support my computer and it really is the perfect fit. Just wish it was more ascetically appealing but like I said, my fault for being in a rush and choosing it, certainly not the fault of the manufacturer/designer. I'm in a spot trying to find a stool to match up to it---the top where my keyboard sits is just a little below counter height. Overall, good quality for a metal & pressboard item (not real wood), could've been less expensive, but all-in-all, a positive experience :)

I really didn't want to spend this much money, but I wanted something that could solidly hold my laser printer and my high speed Fujitsu scanner, along with storage for paper and toner on the bottom. This thing is built like a tank, with absolutely solid support for the top shelf (heavy items like the laser printer), and decent support for smaller items on the 2nd and 3rd shelf. While adjusting the 2nd shelf means a bit of disassembly, I doubt if I'll ever need to do so; I have a tremendous amount of room for the scanner to completely open up. Because the shelves are flat pieces of MDF, it is easy to slide the articles around. Some of the alternative units had steel ribs which would have made this difficult. There are two cable management panels on the side that should easily hide the power and data cables, taking them to the bottom. This is not the lightest box to haul up the stairs, so make sure you have someone with a little strength to take it out of the car and bring it in. I'm very happy with this purchase.
