da Vinci Brushes Watercolor Brushes

Our art instructor told us that if we only purchased one set of brushes, these would be the ones we should buy. How right she was. It’s a small set, but really top quality and great to take with you when traveling. A great buy. Pricy but worthy the money.

These are THE brushes for traveling, esp in this price range. There may be better brushes, but for their collapsed size and weight, they hold a lot of water and scoop up pigment like a dream. I like the variety of sizes in this pack - 4,6, and 10. The big brush does the washes and the larger areas, while the smaller ones do the detail. I recommend for the Plein Air or Urban Sketching folks.

This is my first real upgrade from offbrand travel brushes and these brushes are a world apart. They hold so much water and really hold their shape well so far. I mostly use the 10 brush but the 4 and 6 are indispensable for really fine work. I like the fact that the base of the brush when unscrewed is so short; you NEED to screw the cap on to really use the brush properly. That simple design decision will avoid countless lost caps as can be the problem with other brushes.

I really like the DaVinci Cosmotop Watercolor Brushes (non-travel) so when I was ready to upgrade my travel brushes from the first one I purchased (Fuumi brand) I bit the bullet and opened my wallet and bought these. Reputable brand great synthetic bristles on the non-travel. Didn’t translate to the these travel brushes. Disappointing.

I love these, much better quality than the inexpensive travel set I had. Really hold a lot of fluid, and hold their shape well too. Worth the price.

These brushes are a dream to use for painting with watercolor. I have been using them to paint when I am at home. They are more than just a travel brush. I like them so well that I ordered some da.Vinci flat brushes which will be arriving soon.

This is an outstanding brush set and truly a great value! I'm glad I didn't go for the more expensive sable set, as I love the terrific snap and ease of these synthetics. Sure, they may not hold as much water as the sables, but they have served me well and are my favourite travel brushes by far. I use them every day. I also really appreciate the fact that the top cap's hole is bigger than some of the travel brushes I've tried, making it easier to insert the brush without messing up the hairs (I just wipe the bristles gently with a paper towel and they insert easily, keeping their shape). These travel brushes have exceeded my expectations and I high recommend them for any watercolourist on the go.

One of the best brushes I have tried in a while comes with really pointy ends which allows you to paint in narrow lines or areas absorbs good amount of paint that can last for pretty long time really great brushes totally recommend them!!!!

Very nice brushes, compact and well made. Just perfect for my needs. Case Faux leather, not real leather, but good for the purpose. Would recommend, ideal for travel.
