used to replace a part in my boat and it worked as expected
This solenoid valve works exactly as expected. It was easy to install, feels well made, and provides reliable performance. Great quality and an excellent value for the price.

Great for automating water flow.
Works great for turning water on for automated aquarium partial water changes. Very easy to connect thanks to the built-in 1/4" push-to-connect tubing connectors.

Runs hot and leaks!
I installed this unit in March 2026. From day one the solenoid has run very hot, though I tried several sizes of transformers until I found one that consistently opened the valve and used that. The other day I noticed the solenoid had water randomly spitting out of the top of it. Thankfully I'd bought two so just swapped them out. When I looked at the bad one, I could see that the solenoid cover was badly cracked. I will be installing a better one soon. I do NOT recommend these valves and suggest you spend a little bit more and get a good one. In the pictures, the one shows the crack in the case that encircles the entire solenoid. The other one shows where that crack meets the one that goes from top to bottom of the case.

Works great!!! Endures 24/7 saltwater use.
I just replaced this item that I installed in July22. I got about 18 months of 24/7 use (ie energized state) in a SALTWATER/Marine system until it started leaking from valve body. It does still work though! The price has a not changed since my original purchase date. The more “name brand” valves (they are near identical btw) are over 3 times the cost. Great product.

Works great on my water dispenser
This solenoid works great for what I needed. I was really tired of lugging heavy water jugs to fill my water dispenser, and this setup made that problem go away. I connected it to my RO/DI/Alk system, and now I get clean, great-tasting water straight from the source without any hassle. Installation was simple, and the solenoid’s automatic shut-off means I don’t have to worry about leaks or wasting water. Overall, it’s been a really good buy that’s made my daily routine easier.

Cheap
It leaked around the push connector. Spend a few extra bucks and get a good one.

To All Those Burning Up These Valves
This is a solenoid. Solenoids require a higher current to activate, then a much lower current to remain open, called Hold Current. If you apply 12 Volts to the valve and just let it sit there, it's going to get Hot. The hotter it gets the more its reliability goes into the toilet. This is true for all solenoids, unless the time that it is active is very short, which for a water valve is typically not the case. I recommend the DRV120 driver IC from Texas Instruments. I do not recommend driving this valve directly from a GPIO pin.
