GEARWRENCH 1/4" Drive 72 Tooth Quick Release Locking Flex Slim Head Ratchet, 12" - 81030

It seems to be well made. While it is not my favorite Gearwrench ratchet it is outstanding when you take into account the versatility and low cost of the Tool. It helps with getting into tight places and makes it easy to use. I am happy with this purchase.

It was that tool I needed in a bind. Didn't want to remove that upper coolant bridge to remove the starter on an LS430. A flex head ratcheting wrench was able to do the passenger side, but in the driver's side the outside of the wrench was too thick. This little tool did the job. The fact that you can lock the position of the head is just another perk of this little guy. Some reviews day it is not durable. The ratchet head is small, but the handle is relatively long in comparison. I would in no way expect this thing to handle a lot of torque, but it's far strong enough for its size. Too me this tool has been worth every penny and then some. If you're a tool guy this little thing is a must.

As mentioned in other reviews, it's not for heavy duty use. Keeping that in mind, it's an awesome tool when you need to work in a tight space. I bought one for my work box and another one to keep at home.

Picked this up to replace an older 1/4 ratchet. Used it on a few small jobs and its been fine so far. and the flex head stays in place once you lock it. The ratchet action feels smooth. Handle length is comfortable and doesn't feel oversized for a 1/4 drive. The quick release is a little tight on some sockets. Not a big issue, just takes a bit more pressure than expected. No major complaints. Seems well made and works as expected. I had still recommend it, just not perfect.

I love this tool! It was crucial when changing all 16 spark plugs in my hemi in those difficult to reach spots. Build quality is solid and operation is smooth. Definitely a must for the tool collection.

Long handled small fastener dream come true. The finish is 98% perfect with only a few small machine marks where the head was hand ground. Otherwise a perfect chrome over smooth polished easy to wipe clean surface. Super important with long handled flex head driver handles as opposed to wrenches, Is the locking head assembly. While it is not critical with a box end wrench it would be difficult not having it with a socket, and nearly impossible with a hex bit. That said, it features both 1/4" square drive for sockets with a removable drive allowing for perfect installation of short 1" 1/4" hex bits. Holds bits at perfect depth, which FYI is not deep enough to fully seat power drive bits. If you use a power drive bit and try to apply too much torque the bit will snap at the ball detent relief. Which it should because power drive bits should never be used without a "power drive"!!! The final feature which is really nice is the super fine, smooth as silk 72 tooth ratchet assembly. I fully approve of this specialty wrench when used properly and not abused.

Great problem solving wrench with one really annoying problem (like others have mentioned) the 1/4" drive bit does not have enough tension to stay in. If you try to pull the socket off it comes out of the handle, if you get into a tight space and you have friction on the socket and pull the wrench back, the bit comes out. Seems to be a lock wire inside but not thick enough to keep it in place. Not even sure why it's removable, has no value except in the odd case where you need to put a bit in it, maybe other find it a good feature but the lack of retention is a problem for me. That all being said this has saved me in some tight spots.

I love this ratchet, and find myself using it all the time. The feature i use the most is it's ability to drive bits. Super handy in tight spots!

Excelente chave de catraca com a cabeça flexível. Bem comprida o que proporciona um torque maior. O material é de excelente qualidade e muito resistente. Recomendo o produto!

Great craftsmanship. Very nicely built. Looks as good as a Snap-on or MAC product. I would definitely purchase this ratchet again. Hoping I never need to, if the build quality is as good as their presentation. Detents on the flex head have positive engagement. Thumb wheel on the top is a nice bonus and works well. Very solid, well built tool. GearWrench makes very nice tools for their price point. Well worth the investment.
