Love these
The figs were wonderful. Nice taste, moist, uniform. I will buy again. And grown in USA.

EXACTLY the ones I was looking for...
I love me some figs, but there are so many different types out there (esp. these Orga ic and non-GMO brands which cost 2X-3X the price.) These are "California Mission Figs" and are the ones you'd remember from Fig Newtons. Tender, juicy (though dehydrated,) and sweet but still q09% natural. And at 5lb bulk price, it's about 1/3 the price of some of these other brands in Amazon that just don't taste the same (different types of figs!) Definitely happy !!!

Product quality has gone downhill.
This product used to be great, but the quality has gone downhill. The figs are gritty, like they were not cleaned properly and still have dirt in them. Also, they have brown spots that are very hard. I have to throw them out since the package is filled with the brown spotted ones and the others are gritty. I will never order these again.

not perfect...
We previously purchased 5lb bags of figs from a CA supplier. Roughly 45 bags over 5 years. Their fig quality was inconsistent, so we thought we'd try these. The first box was great. The second has mixed reviews. About one in 40 figs has a bad really "off flavor". I won't say rotten, but we immediately spit it out. Tastes bad... The previous supplier often had dry figs, small fruit and sometimes the same off flavor. Both companies sent fruit the same day and we received it here in WI two to three days later. Bottom line... not any better than the previous company. When you buy bulk and pay cheap prices you can't expect perfection. You are dealing with farmers who deal with the worst elements to bring you food.

Great Value and Fresh Figs!
Fresh Whole Black Mission Figs!! They are still fresh from harvest when received so you may need to set out to dry for a couple more days depending on your preference.

Won't re-hydrate!!! :-(
Pretty hard to chew. The moisture level was very low. The figs look like they were of good quality when dried. My only problem was they did not re-hydrate. I added water to cover and brought to a boil. Then covered them and set them aside...not many were soft enough to eat. I then took them and cut the stem ends off and chopped them into pieces, I then cooked them slowly for 4+ hours. Still they are not re-hydrated. My next move is to put them in the blender and see how that works. Fingers crossed!!! I love fig preserves, but without them getting softer, they just won't work. :-(.

I wanted to place an order again but it is ridiculous the price went up triple? Why? Too bad good product but too expensive
