A good sturdy ladder which feels / looks well made. I purchased this one having returned a cheaper brand - good decision this ladder has good build quality, and locking mechanism - works effectively both at full length and partially extended - I feel confident using this ladder as I decorate my hall way.

Wish I'd bought one years ago, very strong and reassuringly heavy. Easy to extend and very sturdy, also a doddle to collapse again when you are finished ! I've seen cheaper telescopic ladders but you get what you pay for, look no further than this !

I bought these ladders after dismissing cheaper versions and I was not disappointed. They were intended to do double duty for general DIY and also to serve a loft hatch in one of the bedrooms. They do both jobs admirably. The most useful facility is being able to open them to different lengths, which proved essential when working on the stairs and landings of our three-storey house. A longer ladder just wouldn't have worked as well. Opening it up takes a bit of getting used to - if you make it too long, it has to be totally collapsed down again before trying again. And, because you open it from the bottom upwards, it has to be laid down to open up the top rungs. It is also heavy - a longer ladder would have been too heavy for me to handle. On the plus side, it does feel very sturdy, and I felt totally confident about it when in use. I am sure we will get a lot of use out of it.

VERY GOOD BUT INSTRUCTIONS COULD BE BETTER TO SAVE GETTING LEFT IN LOFT

The illustration shows the deeper 85mm tread with the extra bit on the back of the tread, the one delivered is like the cheap modern ones with a square 45mm tread
