These are the large head, hardened, “ironworker” pliers. What makes them ironworker pliers are the kick out on the handle and they more aggressive knurling on the jaws. They also have a spring in the handle although some ironworker pliers do not have a spring — that is a matter of user preference. But what they are for me are excellent linesman pliers. The head is the same as any Klein linesman, just a bit more aggressive jaws. If you don’t need a fish tape puller or crimper, these are the best lineman pliers because of the spring. I may be called a hack, but I like springs in my pliers and these fit the bill.

In my opinion, Klein makes the absolute best pliers there are. This has been my go-to tool for cutting, bending and twisting hanger wire for acoustical ceilings for over 21 years now. I always add a set of red handle covers made by Klein. I cut the blue ones off, wrap a layer of electrical tape around the handles, boil some water, dip the handles in the water and then slide them on. It takes some maneuvering to get them on but it gives you a meatier handle and the are extremely durable. The spring is the real reason I use this model. It makes using them ideal. Excellent product and quality from Klein. I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone in need this type of tool. They are well worth the money!!

These are REAL cutters and pullers - wimps need not apply! This pair will last a long, long time - I plan to leave them for my grandson! They will be around. Excellent craftsmanship, easy grip for serious work. Really glad I made the purchase.

When I received my Kline plies the package was beat up and the blue grip had a cut doesn’t change how well these work but for $50 for a new tool I would expect them to be new
