Alien Flier X2 F Zip Line Trolley Kit

Brake broke! Can't recommendation something with a safety issue.

This is a very nice kit and good value. - The trolley brake is very nice and comforting to my grandkids. The straps on the green seat could be just a little longer, for larger people. I used some thinner (3/8") bungee on the brake block with 10-12 ft. on either side to ground anchors. Lots of fun.

I really was excited when I found out this trolley kit was from a company in neighboring New Hampshire. I love to support local businesses. Unfortunately, I'm not able to love this product. From the moment I opened this product, it felt cheap. The seat is very much so just a playground swing on a small nylon strap. The rope to pull the trolley is tiny, which makes pulling the rider up uncomfortable to the hands. Perhaps the most concerning is the low quality construction of the trolley itself. Of the many alarming aspects of the trolley, the most concerning is the nylon (read: plastic) "Pop n Snap Ring". Each time the trolley is put under load (90 lbs) , the two sides of the 2 piece plastic ring separate and the strap that holds the swing up wedges in between the two plastic pieces. This situation requires you to dismantle the trolley in order to snap it back together. This leads me to another very undesirable feature of this trolley kit, disassembly. In order to remove the trolley from the line, you must slide off one of the open cell foam handgrips. If you've ever dealt with the squishy foam bike or scooter handgrips before, you know that once you get one on, you have no desire to take it off ever again, as it's an irksome task at best. Unfortunately, removal of the trolley is needed to repair the "Pop n Snap Ring" faliure on a regular basis during use, and of course when you're not using the zip line. I could not imagine putting this trolley under the rated 275 lbs load. There are other things I don't like about this product, but these are the most concerning to me. One decent thing I will say is the included brake block works well for a small rider. Sadly, I will be seeking to return this product and get a more reputable and safe system. This product is half the cost of a proper trolley and harness, but my child's well being is worth the added expense.

So i ordered a zip line a few years ago and the car had no brake feature. I tried several things to make one, some worked ok. IN that time i had installed a second zip w/ the alien flier product. It became apparent that the NO BRAKE car was a safety issue. It took me longer than Im proud to admit, but i replaced the first car w/ an Alien Flier. Its just better. The handles keep kids fingers out of harms way and the brake is very effective.Great product.

This is a piece of garbage unless your zip line is only a few inches off the ground and does not move faster than a slow walk. The unit is made out of thin metal and no bolt on the lower section to hold it together so the side pieces start spreading right away. The handle grips are not secured and if one slips off its hard to use the brake. The harness is light weight and the rivit rip out quickly. It just a cheap unit all the way around.
