Electric Cheese Grater
When I received the cheese grater , I used it right away, it is really a great grater to have. I would recommend this product to anyone. It is worth every penny I spent on it. I would rate this product a Ten out of Ten.This product can be purchased on Amazon under electrical. It is called OMRA Electric Cheese Grater, made in Italy. Also I have their Tomato Machine and I would recommend it 100% per cent.

Limited, but decent
Really only works well with dry, hard cheeses; anything remotely moist -- like mozzarella or standard cheddars -- requires way too much effort to be worth the trouble. The drier the cheese, the easier it is to clean; it would have been nice if the manufacturer would have made the retention screws magnetic, so that you can stick them to the base of the unit while dis-assembly, and not lose them too easily. Another plus, would have been a cleaning brush for the cylindrical grater itself; it is sharp and hard to handle while cleaning, and shreds a sponge. A solid unit, though, and if you stick to certain cheeses, this is a decent -- though costly -- purchase.

Design Flaw....
This works very well on hard cheeses as mentioned above, but the issues with the on/off switch and the moister cheeses are completely correct. Furthermore, if you press too hard, the plastic guides along the sides break very easily. Ours has broken twice now. The first time I sent it back and they fixed it after ordering the piece from Italy, but now I'm very frustrated the second time in less than two years! Something with this price point should be better designed.

Good but needs impovement
Just got this grater and it works well with harder cheeses. However, if you buy this grater, immediately replace or bypass the on/off switch. It comes with a toggle switch that needs to be held down during operation. I checked the manual, and it says this was installed for US safety compliance reasons. So how do you operate this thing when yu need one hand to push the switch, another to feed the cheese and another to push it down with the pestle??? I would have given it four stars if it had a normal on/off switch. Another nice feature would be if it came with different grade(corse and fine)drums.
