Works great
We do not have H2S. This test confirmed it. Neighbors water smells and the concentration was 0.5 ppm per this analysis

Most misunderstood kit I’ve bought, but worked fine for my percentages.
I saw a lot of bad reviews, but from what I can tell it’s from people who didn’t read or understand the instructions. This kit doesn’t change the colour of the test strip, the chemical on the end of the test strip will change the colour of the water so when the vial containing the test water is matched to the scale you can tell the percentage.

I was warned by other reviewers and saved my money.
This test for hydrogen sulfide did not work. I tried several times, each with a negative outcome, even tho hydrogen sulfide is clearly present. An installed filter removed the odor. I should have taken the advise of the 1 star reviews and saved my money.

Easy!!
We are on well water and needed this to test what kind of filtration system we needed in our house, worked great and great value for money! Very easy to use and was very accurate! We were able to get a great system and our water is perfect

Did Nothing, No color change whatsoever, tried twice!
Well we have a Well and also a 4 pc Water Filtering system, due to Iron, Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfate! We wanted to retest as we need to change our filters and medium in the Iron/Manganese Tank, We were told to re-test so we could buy the exact medium needed. Well this test DID NOT CHANGE COLOR at all. Both at well outside, and inside after the water filtering system. NOTHING....So it does not work! WE Know for sure we have ROTTEN EGG smell and dirty water! So returning it for refund. My husband is a retired Residential Contractor so we know how to test! Use a plumber or well testing company

Not as sensitive as your nose!
You might be smelling hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg) in your water. These test strips sounds like a great idea. Keep in mind, though, that your nose is at least an order of magnitude more sensitive than these strips. In other words, you might smell it but not be able to detect it using these strips. That's good and bad - you know you don't have massive concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (good) but you still have that stinky problem (unquestionably BAD). Carbon filters can help some but won't last long. The only true solution seems to be an oxidizing filter. Anyway, these strips might give you a quantitative answer if you have enough hydrogen sulfide for them to detect... But that wasn't so in my case.

Worthless.
It didn’t work. After a dozen attempts, I got no reaction from the strips after using them as indicated, despite the subsequent determination of hydrogen sulfide. (perhaps it was out of date?) Also, I attempted calling their customer service and no one returned my call.

Perfect product
I ordered these strips as I smelled the infamous rotten egg smell from the well in our newly purchased home. I received my product quickly and in perfect order(vial not broken, package sealed.) I’ll admit I did not run the test correctly the 1st time and I thought these strips didn’t work. However, my husband pointed out my error and I ran the test correctly the 2nd time. These strips work great!
