Okay, I've had a Ring Doorbell Pro 2 for about 2 years. Always had issues and upgraded my transformer from 16VA to 24VAC and the issues dissipated, didn't disappear, just fewer of them. For some reason, if you "tap" the bell button with a mechanical doorbell ringer, the Wi-Fi is disconnected. This use to occur every time until I changed my transformer. Likely an electronic doorbell ringer would have resolved this. In any event, my original Ring Doorbell never had issues so I went with this Battery Doorbell, why? Because it has a battery AND you can hardwire it, no more Wi-Fi issues. If the doorbell needs additional power, it can draw from the battery anything the transformer is not providing. To be honest, there is much difference between the Battery Doorbell or the Pro 2 (now Pro); Field of view is the same and sound quality is just as good. I don't receive the "bird's eye" view of how someone walked to my front door, but I have several other cameras that will capture that footage. At a 1/5th the price of the Pro, why wouldn't I change a naturally faulty doorbell out.

Easy to install and adds a great level of security. It functions well. Connected easily to my phone. It is sensitive to motion near the area. Gives a clear image. My young son now says good night to me before his mommy puts him to bed and I’m at work. That is an added bonus to having this Ring doorbell. Along with the security I feel when I’m away from home. It was a small investment to add more security for my home and family.

This new ring was bought to replace a 12 year old ring whose battery was just not holding a charge. It’s great same easy setup and install the battery charge lasted like 4 months it lasted so long I actually forgot you need the little to to remove ( great feature to make hard to steal, our old one didn’t have that) ps a tiny flat head screw driver works well for that too

Desde el primer momento me encantó su diseño moderno y elegante, se ve perfecto en la entrada de mi casa y le da un toque más sofisticado.La instalación fue muy sencilla, incluso para alguien que no tiene mucha experiencia con este tipo de cosas. En menos de 10 minutos ya estaba funcionando.Me gusta q todo lo q pase afuera lo puedo tener gravado ahí . Además, se nota que está hecho con buenos materiales, se siente resistente al tacto. Y cada cosa q pasa por el frente él lo detecta y te avisaDefinitivamente lo recomiendo si estás buscando un timbre bonito, funcional y a buen precio. ¡Yo estoy feliz con el mío!

I really like this product and it's features. I gave it a 4 star. Because I think that it sends too many notifications And I know the motion sensitivity could be adjusted even then, it's either I miss out on important notifications And not get any or very few, or make sure that I'm getting the important notifications, But also tons of annoying important notifications. Other than that, it's a very easy install, very convenient.The in home bring camera could be a little more Flexible with where and how it's installed like more options on how and where and which way to install it... But nonetheless, I like it and it's been very beneficial to my family. The outdoor ring is awesome. I love it. I love the ring neighbor app. And I see myself using this for a long time moving into the future!

I rent. Which means I’m not drilling into stucco like I own the place, or pulling wires out of a 1970s wall cavity just to feel “connected.” Enter: the Ring Battery Doorbell. It’s the answer for everyone who wants home security but also wants their security deposit back.This thing is idiot-proof (I would know, I installed it mid-coffee). Battery lasts a shockingly long time, and the app setup took less effort than pretending I read the lease agreement. Video is sharp, motion alerts are fast, and I get to look like I have my life together when packages arrive.Is this revolutionary? No. But it’s a stable tool in a world full of overhyped gadgets. And if you’re in a rental, or just allergic to splicing wires like a 1950s electrician, this is the one you want.Pair it with the Chime (see my other review) and suddenly you’ve got a full system without committing real estate sabotage.

I typically don’t write these types of product reviews, HOWEVER, I just want to brag for a moment because holy battery life! We had the previous version for a couple years and while the style didn’t change much, I felt like I was always needing to charge the old version. The other version didn’t have a solar option either so I was again forever charging it. I purchased this one on December 31st 2024 and today April 25th 2025 is the first time I have needed to charge my doorbell. To say I am IMPRESSED is an understatement. I forgot that 2 weeks ago I received a reminder to charge and it still recorded even through today. It was also really nice that I didn’t have to be bothered to charge it every few weeks! We are definitely a ring product family with 2 floodlight cams, a doorbell, chime and a stick up camera. All Ring products are quality and I’ve never actually had one stop working on me I’ve simply just wanted to upgrade. If you’re on the fence try it you most likely won’t regret it!

These beat Blink by a mile. Picture quality plus night vision clear as eyesight is great. The talk feature is awesome....I caught l lady leaving her dog poop on my lawn purposely and was able to yell at her thru Ring therefore avoiding escalation. She did not pick it up btw. Buy these for your home security please get rid of Blink. Sorry Amazon but they suck and now I'm stuck with 10 of them.
