Step 1. - SURFACE PREPERATION Ensure surface is clean and free from loose rust, paint oil and grease. Step 2. - APPLICATION Shake container well. Using the brush in the cap apply directly onto the rusty area, working well into any pitted areas, corners and edges. Avoid coating onto painted areas. Ensure that exposed corners and edges are well treated with Kurust to avoid rust creep beneath the treated area. Watch as the Hammerite Kurust turns blue/black whilst reacting with the rust. IF THE AREA DOESNOT CHANGE COLOUR RE-APPLY WITHIN 1 HOUR. Apply topcoat after 3 hours. Most solvent based topcoats are suitable. If in doubt test a small area first. Treated surfaces should be top coated as soon as possible. Screw cap on tightly immediatley after use. Step 3. - CLEANING & STORAGE Cleaning: Splashes onto surrounding paintwork and skin may cause staining - wash off with water immediatley.
