Does the job perfectly without the cost of Britas filters

Ideal replacement for genuine cartridges
Works just as well as OEM filters. I use them it a water jug and a Tassimo coffee machine with no issues.

Design has changed
This cartridge has changed design. The old design was white with a white ring pull at the top and a soft sealing ring around the side which ensured a good seal. The new design has a blue bar across the top instead of the white pull ring and no sealing ring around the side. Consequently unfiltered water leaks through between the cartridge and the inside of the jug Instead of going through the filter. I have just been re-ordering the same item for years but it has changed and no longer works for my Brita jug as it used to

Do not buy, not compatible with Brita Maxtra
DO NOT BUY - the design is not compatible with Brita Maxtra. They provide an adaptor with is meant to open the valve at the base of the water jug but even with this the valve would not open. Once fitted it could not be removed thus making the jug useless.

Work perfectly
Frankly I was a bit skeptical about these being able to perform as well as the britta filters, but they are almost as good. They fit perfectly and the water tastes just fine.

Buena alternativa.
Son iguales que los de la Brita Max. Se usan sin problema en las jarras Brita, pero cuestan menos. Vivimos en una zona de agua dura: filtra las impurezas del agua, lo que le aporta un agradable sabor, perdiendo el sabor y el olor del cloro.
