Discovered this out at sushi one night and adore it for home use. I probably would have ended up using it professionally if I was back in smaller, more unique restaurants instead of retirement after selling out & going corporate... ok, that just cracked me up... anyway, great product. Palate-wise, I appreciate the complexity. Sure, its hot but not crazy. In addition to the chili heat I get sesame, hemp seed, and very mild citrus. Value? Stroke of genius to hunt for it here & you came to the right place. Since mine is just for personal use I don't see myself purchasing again unless I send it as a gift. Now that I think about it, that's exactly what I'm going to do & this is exactly where I'm going to send it from. Couldn't be more satisfied with quality, taste, freshness, value, minimal packaging, & prompt delivery.

I bought this as refill for my small cylinder vial of same. I love that this is not too hot but just right, perhaps because there are no seeds in this. These are my go-to chili flakes to improve flavor in dishes I make for company without knowing their upper end spice tolerance. This is universally liked. Flavorful, not painful.

I read in the NYT food section that Nanami Schichimi Togarashi 7 Pepper spice mix made everything taste better. So I bought the little bitty bottle to try it out. Holy Cow! It really did taste great on everything! Then I bought a big bag and have refilled the little bottle a couple times! It’s hot peppery but not too much. There’s other seeds in it that are delicious. It’s great cooked with vegetables, chicken breast - savory - equally yummy sprinkled on cottage cheese. I’ve been experimenting with it on all sorts of things - all great! Hmmm I think I’ll try it on a bagel with cream cheese next! I keep it with the salt and pepper shakers - that’s how splendid it is ❤️

Really nice heat not super spicy

Buying these will save you a lot of money if you use the little bottles. I go through one of those small bottles every two days and they were costing me about six dollars a piece. I can get like 30 bottles worth in this packet right here. And the brand is S&B, so you know it’s authentic! Excellent!

Good mellow flavor not that much heat but very tasty

Not your typical chili mix. I mix this with bulgur to give it a kick!

Pretty much the standard in shichimi & bulk bag will last a long time. Easier to dose in cooking with a spoon than a thousand shakes from a small bottle

This came in super fast and it's a steal compared to the 5$ per tiny 0.5 oz bottle (15gr) you get at the Asian supermarket, when they do have it in stock. The product is really fresh, great taste, identical to what you get in the S&B bottle. I'd almost snort this stuff, it's so darn good on stir fried noodles, soup, veggies, etc! Can't live without and so glad I can feed my addiction at this price!
