Good beginners board
Great for beginners to get started, but soon outgrow the capabilities of this device. Still a good way to get started given the price point.

Two pins on the CPLD IC are solder-bridged - appears to be intentional, but not quite 100% sure
AFAICT the bridge pins are pin 10 (VCCIO1_1) and pin 11 (GNDIO_1). Deliberately connecting a VCC to a GND seems implausible to me, but I could easily be reading documentation wrong. I started a return process, but decided to do some more double checking - it appears from online photos and videos that all of these boards have the same two pins solder-bridged, which makes it unlikely that it's an accidental fault. Unfortunately, all the testing I've done so far is to ensure that Quartus can auto-detect the board (which it can). The board I have has a very slightly different layout to the one illustrated here, but that just appears to be a minor design tweak.
