60 Liters of WATER!!, As you add more sugar, either fruit or syrup, more CO2 is absorbed. For a good flavor of cola or root beer syrup probably 20-25 liters per large 60L cylinder.

Q: What stores can I refill c02 cannisters for Drinkmate at? the answer did not tell me this information

Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, some Costco's, and a bunch of other places do gas cylinder purchases or exchanges. A note though, most stores will only do exchanges with Sodastream CO2 canisters, not these or even blank ones. But they are $30 each and when you get the Sodastream ones the exchange is $15. Well worth it.

Q: Does the carbonation give you a headache like the bubbles in cheap champagne?

Nope! I think the issue with cheap champagne causing headaches is something other than the carbonation anyways.

Q: I don’t live near any of the refill locations. are the empty co2 bottles recycable? how do i dispose of them?

I refill through soda stream. They send a return label, pick up the empty ones and return full ones, at a discount. They work perfectly with my drink mate without me leaving home.
