Good product. Purchased for my wife who is starting plants from seeds. She says the heat has helped them grow 2-3 times faster, even in an indoor environment. Check the dimensions carefully. You may wish to buy two for large trays. The mats are warm, not hot, which is what you want.

I purchased 2 of these warming mats about 2-3 years ago when I was growing peppers and tomatoes from seed.They are still working fine after not using for 2 years.I recently purchased 2 more since I’m germinating a bunch of herbs, tomatoes and peppers from seed.I have them in my indoor greenhouse and they’re working fantastic! I’ve had sprouts since day 2 after planting seed into coir soil.These mats definitely help speed growth rate and ease the process of germination. Seedlings look healthy and the mats heat along with the moisture in the coir helps keep a great humidity level in the greenhouse tent.

I use this for my vivosun 3x3×5 during winter and colder months. Hasn't failed me once and keeps a consistent temp without the need for the controller. Although, I would have loved to be able to adjust the temp I didn't need to buy the one that came with it. It's a very well made mat and does what it's supposed to. You could also use these for your pets beds during winter months or if you have an outdoor shelter for animals, this works well too. It's easy to store and doesn't take up any noticeable space when in use. Highly recommend any product from vivosun. Can't wait till I can grab me a new light from them.

It seems to get too hot and killed my cat grass plants. But I think if I create some distance from the pad with a couple clay bottoms I think i will find a solution to that..

Works really well. Seeds germinated and grew much more quickly than with my much older Hydro Farm seedling heat mat.

My pepper seeds wouldn't germinate even after a month. Got this based on research and it totally worked for getting them to grow finally. It doesnt get too hot and the material quality seems up to par. Worth the investment for starting seeds properly.

Within hours I saw a marked improvement in the seeds coming up through the dirt in the egg carton. The warmth dried the soil quicker, so you need to spray water more often.

The pad works as described and dose not over heat.
