Substandard products sold in India
Sorry to say, this is nothing but rejected pieces of the products manufactured by a reputed brand. I got one refund and ordered another just expecting some quality having seen the product in the UK. But just disappointed with the bad quality. The flap never closes completely! Another great Jugad or thanks to Amazon delivery agents for great service to the national economy!

Well designed fan
Very noisy but does a good job. I bought this for my kitchen as an alternative to a hood extractor. I struggled to find a decent looking powerful fan as design doesn't seem to be a priority for fan manufacturers. The reason I opted for this product is that the cover can be changed so if the plastic yellows (and I don't know that it will) I can just pop a new cover on. I also like that it opens and closes so there's no manky grille on display. It's on my kitchen ceiling now and, due to the design, it's very unobtrusive.

Good solution for a steamy kitchen
I am delighted with the neat appearance of this monster fan, it is much more discreet than I expected - a bit like a small flying saucer. My electrician simply replaced an old 4 inch fan using a 6 to 4 inch converter and made use of the existing fittings: we were fortunate to have sufficient space between the ceiling & the floor above. He did have to make a larger hole in the ceiling of course. The work took under an hour. The noise is less than I was anticipating. I needed a more efficient extractor fan because the cooker hood does not work very well & it is not convenient to open the kitchen windows. It does take a full minute to open & a whole 2 minutes to close, but the advantage is it does not collect dust like the old fan & it is easier to wipe clean.

Does the job
Initially this came with a piece broken. Lucky it was not visible and does not seem to affect operation. Bit noisier than I thought, however once fitted and adjusted, it works away just fine.

Easy to install but not remotely controlled. I bought this item separately and it works fantastically very quiet and keeps the kitchen clear of smells. Very good value for money

The shutter gets stuck and won't close within a few months of use
The unique iris shutter is there to prevents back draughts. However, it will get stuck and won't close within a few months of use. For this reason and for the loud noice, I think this fan is overpriced.
