Ikea Ribba 5x7 Picture Frame. White. Set of 2

The frames--all 4-- I received were in perfect condition and the deep, shadow-box-like frame does an excellent job of showing the graphics I framed. Since I did not award the frames 5 stars, there must be at least one problem ... and there is just one. My intent was to use these frames in a seasonal decoration/art display in my hallway. For my purpose it means changing the artwork for Valentine's Day, Easter, ... to Christmas. I won't be able to do that with these frames. The back composite board holding the art or photo is in turn held in place with a set of 4 metal tabs--one on each side. The tabs are cheap metal and simply cannot withstand being bent back and forth more than 2, maybe 3, times. So my Easter display is all set for next year ... and I hope I'll still like my selection!? Now I must find a 5- x 7-inch frame with a decent--translate--usable backing--system.Second Thought. ... I am perplexed by the number of users who said they were unable to use the frame for a 5 x 7 photo. I print my art work out on my printer. The piece I have in the frame is exactly 5 x 7. The art itself is 4 x 6 and I included a coordinated "mat" around the art in case I didn't like the white mat that was supplied. I was right to do so because white just didn't work with the deep colors in the art work. Of course, it would have been even better had I used a separate colored mat to give more dimension to the display.I think you have to determine exactly what you want to display: play around with strips of paper to see if you will like the look of a mat or if you prefer your photo simply framed. If you are grouping your art/photo you will probably want to frame most of your pieces, if not all--regardless of size--in the same manner. That doesn't mean you have to stay with a 1-inch mat; you could use a 11 x 14 frame for a 4 x 6 photo placed inside an 11 x 14 mat with a 4 x 6 cutout--and the cutout could be in the upper third of the mat, or and wherever you like. It makes a bold statement for the right piece.

Haven't been able to hang it yet, as it has awkward nail receptacles (guessing it's so you can open the door whilst hanging on wall?). I will put on an easier hanging system and take off the wall to change pictures. Otherwise, seem well made and functional.

These were just what I needed. I had two 5 x 7 landscape pictures for them. You do get a mat in each one, but I didn’t need them so I used them without the mats. They are on a table.

Nice frames for the price. One thing to know though is that the back is very deep, so hanging it on the wall would be tricky. The stands work great though.-1 star because the matte cuts into the 5x7 size, though you could always remove it. It's kind of the charm of these frames, though.

Kids are usually pretty hard on stuff but I used these to help decorate my 4 year old nieces room and they've held up great. As she gets older, she can replace the pictures of Alice, the Mad Hatter, the white Rabbit and the Red Queen with pictures of her friends.

My only complaint is that the sides are much thicker than shown and look more like a shadowbox dimension. I do wish that I didn't have to take out the matte lining but at the end of the day, I needed an inexpensive frame and this worked.

I was very worried this wouldn't fit my 5x7 pictures that I bought it for as several reviews said it was too small for 5x7 and they were frustrated it was advertised as such. But this conflicted with other reviews including from the manufacturer and the FAQ insisting it was a perfect fit for 5x7 pictures, so I decided to take my chances. I was disappointed...... it does NOT fit 5x7 pictures UNLESS you take out the mat. And that's what makes this frame cute! So I think the marketing is deceiving because you cannot use this frame AS PICTURED with a 5x7 picture.

I don’t usually write reviews (although I read a lot of them) but this was so ridiculous I just had to come on here to let future buyers know. I have a photo wall from all my travels and when I went to add new photos I realized that IKEA has discontinued the RIBBA picture frames. So I went ahead and came to Amazon to see if I could buy some. Although these frames were MUCH more than at IKEA (150 % more to be exact), I went ahead a bit the bullet and purchased so that I could put my photos with the same look as the others.Much to my surprise, these frame from shipped in a thin plastic baggie so that the ends are all banged up. But the worst part is that the glass cover looks to have been removed and replaced with a recycled piece of plastic that has icons printed all around it. Which means these frame are not only low quality, they are COMPLETELY useless in presenting pictures. These are definitely getting returned. Buyer beware!!
