Hormel Compleats Beefy Mac & Cheese (Pack of 6)

Not great but I liked it

We have been buying Compleats for some time now. This one is very good except the tomato paste is a little acidy for my taste. Yet, still, I'm going to buy more when this batch runs out.

I have very little time some days to cook things that are easy to eat and don't take forever to heat up. The Beefy Mac and Cheese are quick and can be made very tasty if you add some ground pepper, a dash of sea salt and sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top to add some extra flavor. If you like "Mrs. Dash" spices, those would be great as well. Almost ALL of the Hormel Compleats can be made tasty after they are cooked, by adding your own touch of spices. Try it!!!!

I enjoyed the Beefy Mac & Cheese in the past. I have not been able to find it in the stores lately.

We have 10 different Hormel Compleats in the pantry (all good). About half are used as is and the others as a base or additive for different dishes. This one is a very versatile for that purpose. By itself, it seems a little on the skimpy side and bland for our taste (hence 4 stars), but mixed with a can of chili or beef based soups it adds flavor and extends the portions nicely. The kids like it with scrambled eggs, peppers, and onions.

These are a favorite of my mother in law. It gives me piece of mind, knowing that she has something to fix, if I don't make it over to her house or she gets hungry. My mother took these on a road trip... worked out great! I plan on taking them on a two week vacation too!
