Bandai Entertainment was founded in 1996 as the North American subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings (NBHD) in order to focus on the international release of NBHD's anime titles. In addition to licensing and releasing anime on home video, Bandai Entertainment also distributes select titles through partner companies in the US and other countries.
