Fair great figure
Do love having a Elita-1 to go alongside my Optimus figure, only little disappointment is the arm/leg joints in combiner form, she always likes to lean forward but love her design, she works it better than starscream

Awful design and cheap plastic
Bought this one just to have it in the collection but it is the worst transformer I have ever purchased, cheap plastic, terrible proportions and lacklustre transformation. If you are not a collector like me I really cannot recommend it at all. The new legacy Elita-1 is far superior

Not quite elite, but still good
Elita-1 is a fun toy to transform, display, and play around with, but she has a mix of minor flaws that add up to a nagging irritation. Fortunately for anyone reading this review I think some of them might be unique to my toy, but I can’t be sure.I’ll start with the good points: Elita-1 looks fantastic. I love her colour scheme, and for the most part her sculpt is pretty good. The bulky lower legs take a bit of getting used to, but they’re an acquired taste rather than something you have to look past (and they certainly work much better here than on the Starscream toy Elita-1 was remoulded from). She’s got good articulation, and she can hold most poses pretty well without overbalancing, despite her backpack. I really like her torso mode; it shows off the red foil stickers on her wings and the Enigma of Combination she comes with looks very nice in her cockpit. I don’t have anyone to combine her with yet but the ratchet joints for her combined mode thighs seem secure, so she doesn’t feel like she’d overbalance. In vehicle mode, she looks really good from above; I like the futuristic/alien-looking wings and the foil stickers work really well on them.Or at least they would if I wasn’t worried they’ll peel off if I transform her too often. Two of them had started peeling a bit when I took her out of the box, and because the wings fold and unfold when you transform her, they’re liable to start peeling each time. I praised her articulation, but when moving her knees, the white panels that peg into the joints have a tendency to come undone, and the panel on the left leg of my toy doesn’t peg in properly even before I move that knee. Speaking of the legs, I don’t mind that they’re hollow but it does bug me that they’re visibly hollow, and that the transformation necessitates visibly hollow sections of the forearms. These hollow parts aren’t as bad as they could have been, but if you pose her in robot mode in any way other than standing straight with her arms down by her sides they will stand out. I said that the vehicle mode looks good from above; this is because she transforms into jet mode by essentially hiding the robot parts underneath the fuselage. It’s not quite as obvious as on some jet Transformers, but there were toys from the nineties that did a better job of this. Elita-1 comes with two feet for her combined mode; we’re invited to plug them onto her in jet and robot modes to function as armour, and in both modes they look ridiculous. Finally, the problems that I think are just with my copy: the backpack doesn’t peg in securely in robot mode (though this isn’t much of a problem as it holds in place well enough); and either I’ve done something wrong each time I’ve transformed her or the nosecone/cockpit section on mine is misaligned and won’t tab in properly in vehicle mode. I’m not going to have her in vehicle mode very often anyway, but if anyone reading this is planning to, I hope yours works better than mine.So in conclusion, Elita-1 is definitely an imperfect toy, but she’s saved by her robot and torso modes, which really do look great.

Bigger Figure, Very Nice.
I chose this figure mainly because it was on the cheaper side and looked decent. I have a few Elita-1 figures and thought I'd add this one too.SHE is basically a triple changer in that she has a Bot mode, aircraft mode and also serves as the torso of the combine mode. Transformation is pretty straight forward and no issues found. Bot mode is good, reasonable articulation and stands well. The jet mode is not bad, maybe a little clunky but still, it's not bad. Instructions are reasonable but never great, I resorted to videos of how to transform it.
