Thank for making this amazing quantum physics scientific demonstration so accessible!
Excellent educational value for those that are interested in science! Does not come with instructions but you can find online a lot of things about this and the concepts behind it. Anyone interested in quantum physics, which is our best current understanding of reality, should get this. It shows the wave behavior of light among other things. If you know anything about this you will love this. You could spent hundreds of dollars or even thousands in scientific equipment that show the same thing this simple well put together set does!!! Thanks to the Laser company for putting this amazing inexpensive set together, you guys must love and care about science! Thank you for making this amazing scientific demonstration so accessible! Great value, just one of the included slides may cost half the price of this set if you try it try to buy it alone!

Laser Pointer Optics Lab - Needs Instructions
This is a very useful laser pointer optics kit to demonstrate single and double slit diffraction. The slide and screen holders are easy to use and are quite stable. The red laser produces an oval dot that is fairly bright. The build quality is adequate so it should survive a semester of supervised science labs in an elementary school. What the kit really needs is an instruction booklet in large type with lots of diagrams simple enough for an elementary school student to understand. The company should consider including a couple of diffraction gratings to make the course a bit more interesting and challenging.Metrologic and Edmund Scientific (to name a couple of great American companies) put out truly excellent scientific kits. Laserland could easily produce similar instructions (with attributions would be courteous!)

No instructions
There are no instruction included in the package. So how do I make use of this?

A tough one to rate…
Who is the audience here? A physics instructor or an idiot like me? The biggest challenge is the assumption that everyone knows how to use it or set it up properly. There were no instructions whatsoever. It included a nice array of slides but without context, they were pretty useless to the layperson. I was very excited to use this as an easy, at home experiment to teach my daughter about the duality of light but ended up just shining a laser through some slides on a white screen, with nothing to be gained or learned. So I’ll blame my inexperience for part of the problem but what seems to be a more and more common occurrence, the lack of any documentation whatsoever can take the blame for the other half.
