They are in basement hopper windows, and those windows can close with the screens in place.

Our window screens use a highly durable fiberglass mesh, and many of our customers have had success using them around their pets. However, we do not guarantee that our screens are claw-proof and we always recommend using caution around pets, as they are not designed to keep pets contained or prevent scratching.

Q: Does this fit a regular window frame - where the screen for an aluminum or vinyl window would normally go?

These screens are made to sit in the window sash with the window lowered to keep them in place. Thank you
