Reliable, quality thread
Good quality thread that feeds through my sewing machine without any tensioning issues, and does not create excessive lint. Doesn't shrink or pucker when garments are washed, and makes reliable seams that hold up well to wear and tear.Cheap thread from discount stores often proves to be more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather pay a fraction more for Gutermann, knowing it won't cause any hassle while sewing.

Wouldn't use anything else.
I only use Gutermann thread these days. Love their cotton and linen but for everyday use I find this (polyester thread) excellent. This is a re-order to replenish my stock of 500m reels which is ideal for my sewing machine and sits well and solidly on the reel holder. Not the cheapest of brands but I have never had a problem with any of their threads.
