Q: Do any of you that have the A250c have any recommendations for a hard or soft case? Perhaps one with a durable zipper?

What you might try is small pistol case that is foamed lined, it also would allow ec=xtra space for misc tools,

Q: Can it find stud deep behind fiberglass shower?

Probably. I just tried mine on my fiberglass shower and it did no problem. It has deep scan. 2 things: 1, most fiberglass showers don't go all the way to the ceiling, so you can probably get a certain mark of the stud above the shower surround. 2. if your shower goes all the way to the ceiling, then this should work-- but some fiberglass surrounds have a huge gap of air behind them. You might run into accuracy problems if it juts far from the wall to accommodate a big shampoo alcove or handles built in. I think this is the stud finder to try, though, since I just got it to work with mine which has at least an inch of air gap between the fiberglass and where the wall would be.

Q: Will this detect metal furring strips behind 5/8 inch sheet rock?... Without picking up rebar embedded in the concrete behind the furring strips?

The MT6 will locate rebar in 6 inches of concrete the M200 locates metal behind sheet rock up to 1 inch
