If the painting is wet there is a possibility that the outside edge of the painting and perhaps a one-quarter inch area on the face of the painting at the edge may smudge, but if you are careful this can be managed. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars I had a hard time getting the wet canvas into the box *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2019* This box is very well designed, I don't want to discredit it, I am a big supporter of Guerrilla Painter. The construction and quality are superb. But it did not work for me because out on the field by myself I found it fiddly. The side flaps are in the way when you try to slide the wet canvas in. Perhaps the designers could add some velcro fasteners to hold them back. You will need an extra pair of helping hands to hold the side flaps out of the way so you can slip the wet canvas in. The width is tight, rightly so, because it needs to hold the canvas snugly, but as I slipped the canvas in, the corner of the canvas board scraped all the way along the foam side guard and I had foam bits to deal with but it's not a big problem, they were easy to remove back in the studio. I do like the boxes so I won't throw them away, they are good travel boxes, but I will use them for other purposes, not for wet canvas. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing product that requires revisions/modifications to function *by R***K on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2019* The box does not fit 12x16 panels as it says. It is a squeeze to get the standard flat panels into this setup and the styrofoam dividers tore on the first use, and I had to pick all the styrofoam off my panels. I’m glad I tested this with blank canvas panels before using it for finished paintings.
