Rather, it uses a TI (Texas Instruments) chipset. While those other chipset manufacturers both make some quality chips, the TI USB-->serial chipset seems to be the de-facto standard in maximum compatibility with the widest array of serial device types. **Q: is it work for Cisco 881router? Thanks** A: I'm not familiar with the 881 product specifically, but it, and older Keyspan models, have worked fine for every other Cisco router or switch that I have worked with over the last 20 years. I've also used it with Adtran and other products using serial connections. **Q: is this compatible with windows 10 out of the box or do drivers need to be downloaded from website? thanks** A: I am continuing to use the 8.1 drivers I downloaded from keyspan on win 10. The zip from keyspan was named Driver-for-USA-19HS-vb5-Windows-8.1.zip but they may have a newer version for win10 but I did not need it. **Q: Are there DOS drivers for this or another usb serial device?** A: Sorry I have no real answer to your question. I am doubtful about DOS drivers for the Keyspan device, and the Tripp Lite/Keyspan web page does not show any drivers at all for the device. Normally Windows and MacOS have built-in compatible drivers, which in my experience work perfectly well, but I suspect there are none for DOS. I believe the cheaper devices that use the Prolific chipset may have DOS drivers. They often are shipped with a mini-CD with drivers and manuals.
