It was not that easy to understand as a total beginner, so I wouldn't suggest this on its own for self study, but once I started to use another, more basic book (the ICB level II by Kaplan) and I understood the basics from there, it became extremely handy to use this book to look up the more complicated topics and additional topics which were not covered by the other, more basic book (like extended trial balance). Once I had a basic clue about what is going on, this book proved to be extremely valuable.
