I didn’t bother using the brush. I just poured it on the stump and made sure it got covered all around the stump too. The brush would probably be ok for smaller stumps or branches. Hackberry Trees are hard to kill but this works perfect. These trees start growing everywhere as I’m sure everyone know thanks to the birds eating and carrying the seeds. Boy are the little ones that start sprouting all over from the seeds are impossible to pull out. I guess you can say that’s a good “design” on the Hackberry Trees part. They grow like weeks. That’s where the brush comes in handy is for the sprouts and small trees to be applied. Worked great for me and I’m sure it will for you too.
