This is running on a K1M with Simple AF software and it works really well. First layer is very nice every time. This probe is not ready to install out of the box it needs firmware and the correct version of Klipper to work. Bed mesh takes seconds and adaptive meshing is lighting fast. It is super important to get the calibration correct for this to work for you. The best way to confirm the calibration is to go through the process and then home everything and take the nozzle to Z 0. If you have a nice paper compression you will have nice first layers. Review: Amazing tech. Fastest bed mesh ever - This has worked amazingly. It does suffer from heat drift, but that shouldn't matter for most people. I have a sv08 with a pretty warped bed, and I use this for a mesh and "tap" automatic offset calibration. As long as I move the head away from the bed while I heat soak the bed (up to about z 100) it works every time. A nightmare install *by P***S on 8 April 2026* To preface this review, let me start by saying I build my own printers from the ground up. I have lots of experience in FFF, pretty much any and all firmware and *NIX, and I'm comfortable with all parts of the process. Now... to the Eddy: this was nothing short of a nightmare. After going through the piecemeal instructions and tutorials I could find, I compiled and updated all necessary firmware, got the device connected and responding... but it just doesn't seem to work. There is nothing deterministic about its setup and calibration. The process fails because the Eddy is too far away... fine... move it closer... something else fails... fix the other thing... voltage is out of range... fix that... another script fails... its UNREAL. Congrats to the few who've got this operating. I would rate the setup process as 90% random luck, 10% knowledge. After wasting about 2 weeks on it, I finally removed it and went back to my own capacitive discharge sensor which works 100% of the time. My advice is: don't waste your time.
