We like their principle of operation. A word on the provided screws: this item is recommended to be installed on metal or vinyl posts and gate frame. Still, my husband used longer deck screws and installed them obliquely on our wooden 4x4 (dimensionnaly 3.5x3.5in.)post and was also careful in the torque applied so as not to harm the hinges because it is more advised to use pan headed screws than flat headed deck screw.
