## Description

The FERM TDM1026 bench pillar drill is an ideal machine for the demanding craftsman! This robust column drill is equipped with an engine of 350 Watt and 5 different speed settings, with a maximum speed of 2500 RPM!FERM’s bench pillar drill allows you to achieve the best drilling results with materials such as steel and wood. Use the keyed chuck to securely fasten different types of drills (max. drill bit-Ø: 13 mm). The V-belt drive is on top of the machine, well protected in a metal housing. When the housing is open, it is not possible to start the engine for safety reasons. Thanks to the red emergency button and transparent safety cover, you can work safely.The worktable (160 x 160 mm) is adjustable in height and can also be tilted to an angle of 0 to 45 °. In addition, the drilling depth stop allows you to determine exactly how deep the drill should go in the material (maximum bore depth: 52 mm). Since the base plate is equipped with screw holes, you can easily attach the pillar drill to your workbench. Review: Poor FERM Quality Control - First unit arrived and drill spindle run out was unacceptable and unusable. Machine was vibrating badly due to the Drill spindle run out causing much belt pulley and tension variation. Unit also arrived with two a two pin European plug. Returned this unit and requested a replacement. Replacement unit arrived with a Uk three pin plug and before removing it from the packaging I noticed that the motor cowling was cracked. After assembling the unit the vibration was worse than the first unit and although the drill spindle end run out appeared to be okay the vibration was coming from the motor end!! On looking at the motor shaft and turning it, it was evident that excessive shaft run out on this was causing the vibration and belt pulley / tension variation. If I had the motor cowling and motor from the first unit stuck on the 2nd unit then I might have had one good unit!! Requested a refund which was duly excepted by desertcart. My issue is not with desertcart and their partners but the poor Poor Quality control by FERM. Disappointed!!

Spoke to some gimp at desertcart who said the only thing he cam do is get me to dismantle it and send it back. He wouldn't even give me a credit to buy a new chuck. So now have non working drill until my new chuck arrives. Dont buy from desertcart. Shocking customer service

### ⭐ Poor FERM Quality Control

First unit arrived and drill spindle run out was unacceptable and unusable. Machine was vibrating badly due to the Drill spindle run out causing much belt pulley and tension variation. Unit also arrived with two a two pin European plug. Returned this unit and requested a replacement. Dont waste ypur money...Had this for 12 months now and the pillar is going rusty,, the table is not at 90 degrees to the pillar and the depth guage is more than useless.. Very disappointed,,,,,
