Review: Stopped functioning correctly after an hour - I got these for my son's room and he was so excited to put them up but ultimately disappointed after they stopped working after only an hour. What I mean by that is, after we hung the lights around his ceiling, the remote stopped working. And the app was even worse. The Bluetooth kept disconnecting and not changing colors bc it wouldn't connect but only for a minute or less each time. Also- these get hot so quick, within 5 mins of having them on, which doesn't seem very safe to me. I got these bc it was 100 ft for $10 but you get what you pay for in this instance. EDIT: after reaching out to customer service they 100% made it right. They sent a new remote and adapter, literally got it the next day and remote works amazing & adapter no longer gets hot. That's what made my review go from 1 star to 5. Great customer service. Review: Easy to install, long-lasting. - These are great. Especially for $9. I bought 100ft for my son's bedroom, when in fact I only needed about 80, so I just cut the excess off. It is accurate when the description says cuttable. People just need to understand that when they cut them, the excess will not work, but the length that you have installed on the wall and plugged in will STILL work. That's what they mean by cuttable. How could someone expect the excess to still work when they're not connected to an outlet. Just be sure to cut in the middle of the gold strips, which are placed about every 19-20 inches along the strip. If someone doesn't want to cut the strip and waste the excess, you can always overlap until it's used up. Also, if you need to reconnect after cutting, you will need another 4pin connector. This is kind of a pain in the butt though. Hope this helps! πŸ™‚ ## Features - Smart app control, ir remote control: The 200 feet led strip lights support both app and 24 keys ir remote for control, which allow you change the led lights color and modes are conveniently for bedroom, ceiling, kitchen, living room, and party decoration - Easy installation: The led strip lights 200 feet, 4 rolls of 50 feet, ultra long is enough to reach around your entire bedroom and light up the whole home for party, wedding indoor - Music sync: Led lights strip color changing sync to music by smart phone with App, make your party up to the high peak, light up your life and makes life more colorful and wonderful - Smart timing settings: With timer function, the rgb led strip lights allow you to pre set time to turn on off led lights and change color at certain times, just enjoy it in a smart way - Led lights features: Our rgb led chips allows the led lights to be very colorful and durable. White is more like bright blue and yellow is yellow so these will not achieve a normal white bulb light such as 2700k less. **Q: How do you get them different colors in different areas?** A: NO. Your wanting neopixel led lights. RGBIC means the lights can all be controlled individually. RGB all change together at the same time. The way you can always tell by the connections. If it has 3 metal tabs were you connect two together or were it connects to the controller or plug then its RGBIC. If it has 4 then they all change together. I posted a picture of the two different types. You want 3 tabs not 4. **Q: Can you connect more than 100 ft. Like could you buy two sets of these and connect up 200 ft?** A: Yes, you can. Look up "power injection," it's actually quite easy. **Q: Where can i cut the strip? Mine doesnt show scissors.** A: No. There is no yellow/orange line on mine. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped functioning correctly after an hour *by Y***Z on 17 March 2024* I got these for my son's room and he was so excited to put them up but ultimately disappointed after they stopped working after only an hour.
