I haven't had any issues with threads snagging with this machine (except once or twice when I threaded it wrong). You can find all kinds of youtube tutorial videos that show you how to thread/setup. It comes with lots of extra gadgets like an extra head for blind stitching, extra needles, bobbins, button sewing, etc. PLUS the automatic threader is a nice time-saving feature. I also have had no issues with the light brightness.
