Apart from the fact it was a lot less expensive, I don't have to faff around looking for batteries. I bought it mainly to avoid using a facial scrub, and it works just as well if not better. Some reviewers have mentioned that the bristles are a little hard, but as long as you're not heavy handed it should be fine. They're soft enough so that it doesn't hurt, but firm enough to do the job. I only use it at night if I've been wearing make-up or if I'm doing a deep cleanse, as it stimulates the blood flow to my face and gives me a flush. I then put on a nice rich night creme.
