French Avenue Spectre Wraith EDP 80ml

Honestly this was my first and biggest disappointment on blind buying perfumes (which i love to do), or so i though. First time spraying it my god was so bad, it was like just smelling an old wax candle that we use to light up back when i was younger when the electric power shutdown (third world country issues). Just WAX, nothing else. I left that perfume hidden for a while. Came back after 2 weeks hoping for any chance it might have improved and nothing. About 1 month and a half, i was already going into new blind buys and while organizing my collection on a new shelf, it was this one time to be placed. Decided to try it again to see if anything changed, and MY GOD it was like a whole new cologne! Now everything that i had read about it was there, the warm cocoa and dark scent, it was glorious. Highly recommended to get, just remember it needs to sit down sometime to become reallyyyy good.

When I received this I sprayed this twice while standing in my bedroom. All of my family members had a chorus of reactions from an adjoining room and the general consensus was the initial smell is off putting. I’ll refrain from using specific quotes here out of respect for the seller, but you get the idea. To me this smells like you just walked in to a Spencer’s Gift shop and that waft of incense just hits you…except here it just punches you right in the face. There’s no courting this. You either will like this or you won’t from spray one. It’s “beast mode” for sure. Smells like chocolate incense to me. That’s all I get from this. The projection is obviously good if my fam in another room could smell it. If you like an incense smell infused with rich chocolate you may like this, it just wasn’t my thing. I have a family of six so the votes from six people are a unanimous 👎🏻 I’m giving this three stars because they nailed the packaging on this. It’s almost worth it just for the bottle alone and the novelty of it. It’s a beautiful heavy opaque black bottle and who doesn’t love bullets?!?! The packaging is also luxurious. It’s because of the presentation that you get the impression this will blow your socks off scent wise and that was probably the biggest let down. The scent just wasn’t for me. If you buy this though, keep it away from the office and small social gatherings…this is meant for clubs and perhaps an aggressive night on the town engaging in god knows what type of death defying debauchery. PROCEED WITH CAUTION ON THIS ONE. It’s eat or be eaten with this monster!

Super stout fragrance. Date night approved. Dark/slight gourmand/with a hint of freshness in the open that retreats after 30 mins then its full blown rum, spices, vanilla etc. longevity is superb. Easy 7-8 hours on just a few sprays. Projects heavily for the first 3 hours and retreats just a bit after that but this never becomes a skin scent until its closing around hour 6 then fades completely by hours 8 or 9. Spraying this 8 times or more will give you 12+ hour longevity. This is money!!!

I’m very disappointed. The longevity is terrible. It’s strong not sweet. It was NOT fresh. Everything else was terrible.
