It has all of the little pockets ... *by R***A on August 22, 2017* I almost sent this back immediately because I was worried this would look absurdly small on a large woman's back, but I decided to try it for a couple of days. I really LOVE it. It has all of the little pockets that you'd find in a backpack, so it is easy to keep my things organized. Best of all, it stays upright and doesn't flop over when I put it down. It actually can hold quite a lot. I've never liked carrying a purse and for years have used a small hiking back pack, but even with the small ones, it can get annoying fishing in the depths to find a walled or glasses case. This is short, so everything has a spot, I don't have to fish anymore, and friends aren't always asking to add their stuff to my pack. Ha! The interior is light gray and there is an interior zippered back pocket and organizational pockets on the front wall. The straps are very comfortable and are not scratchy, itchy or irritating. I have a lot of cross body bags and backpack purses and this bag is great. I like the fact that it is small and doesn't look like a school bag.
