Review: Great for a rack or test bench - I started building a server cluster using some desktop components and needed some cases to house the components before racking. First of all, these are not native rack mountable, however a pair of rails are all you'll need, these are just under the length to clear the sides of a standard AV/networking rack. I currently have 3 of these and they are pretty sturdy and convenient. The only caveat is don't expect to be mounting a bunch of hard drives in them hut otherwise they fit all the components I needed them to. Easy to put together and all hardware and some extra hardware is included. They are modular as well and have a couple different ways they can be put together
Review: Close. Very close. - I bought this case because I wanted to rack mount my PC, but I was having a hard time finding a front I/O case that allowed for a large GPU. So I decided on this open air chassis. However, I didn't want exposed openings in the front, so I bought some corrugated vinyl, to allow me to enclose the front and top of the case, so things would not fall in. The photo in my review is what I ended up with. Everything went together very well. The screws and slots all lined up, and this machine was very easy to build. Plenty of screws were included, and they even include a momentary switch to help you turn on the power - although I recommend getting a panel mount switch or a remote power switch for the PC. Why 4 stars? The case needs to be about 3 inches deeper. While my GPU fits, I can't mount cooling fans in front, the way the photo on the listing shows. So I had to mount the fans on the outside of the case. This isn't a huge problem, as they're inside the rack, but I still wish there was just a little more room. My other problem is that it was just millimeters too wide to fit on a standard rack shelf, so I had to flip the shelf over and set the case on the bottom of the shelf. I had to re-arrange the rack to make things fit, and i may end up having to remove this whole thing and start over, if I want to make things work in the rack the way I'd hoped. So while this really is a decent open air chassis, it's maybe not the best thing to use as a foundation for a custom case mod. It's very close, but it needs some tweaking in the dimensions to be "just right."

I started building a server cluster using some desktop components and needed some cases to house the components before racking. First of all, these are not native rack mountable, however a pair of rails are all you'll need, these are just under the length to clear the sides of a standard AV/networking rack. I currently have 3 of these and they are pretty sturdy and convenient. The only caveat is don't expect to be mounting a bunch of hard drives in them hut otherwise they fit all the components I needed them to. I bought this case because I wanted to rack mount my PC, but I was having a hard time finding a front I/O case that allowed for a large GPU. So I decided on this open air chassis. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are great

Great price for what you get. They do stack and can screw together. There is paint in the threads but I have not crosstheaded one screw. I don't like the drive mounting but I am using it and it seems ok. Goes together easy, nice and sturdy once complete. Really cannot think of a downside that isn't inherent of an open air case. Using for a machine learning workstation with 4 gpus and dual CPUs on an EATX board, everything fits as it should. UPDATE: I now have 5 of these, They are great cases. They screw together very well, are very sturdy, My worry of the hard drive mounting is not even an issue. They fit ATX and EATX boards, If you have something smaller the holes are not there.
