He has great fondness for it and despite being retired for a couple decades, at 85, he’d jump back on it if he had the chance. A neat way to soothe his nostalgia and remind him of his younger days building roads and digging ponds was to give him the little replica for his birthday. He was impressed with the accuracy and the way parts are movable. Even though it is smaller than expected, (it was advertised correctly, I just don’t know the size of the original, so couldn’t visualize the scaled down version), it’s so precise and detailed, it was worth the money. My uncle approves! It’s on a shelf in his living room with a spotlight devoted to it.
