## Features - Human Evolution - Gift for your child - For better understanding of human evolution ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00HLV6X98 | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Are Batteries Required | No | | Battery Types | No batteries required | | Brand | Safari Ltd. | | Collection Name | Human Evolution | | Colour | brown | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Package Type | Not Certified as Flat Free Package | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 434 Reviews | | Edition | Regular | | Finish Type | Matte | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00609366663814 | | Inner Material | plastic | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Is Autographed | No | | Item Dimensions | 25.4 x 19.7 x 3.3 Centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.14 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Safari Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | SAF-381 | | Model Name | Evolution of Man | | Model Number | 663816 | | Number Of Pieces | 1 | | Occasion | educational | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Outer Material Type | Plastic | | Play Activity Location | Tabletop | | Power Source | Manual | | Recommended Uses For Product | Educational, Playtime | | Scale Name | Medium | | Set Name | Evolution of Man | | Size | Medium | | Style Name | Modern | | Toy Figure Type | Action Figure | | UPC | 609366663814 782495930177 | | character | Homo sapiens | ## Images ![Safari Ltd Evolution of Man - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GcfGD7vLL.jpg) ![Safari Ltd Evolution of Man - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51V2U5E2kBL.jpg) ![Safari Ltd Evolution of Man - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ymdBqfBzL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How tall is each figure?** A: Anoint 2 inches tall. We used them in a diorama school project and they were great. **Q: How big are the figures compared to a 28mm figure?** A: They remain the same size, no matter what you compare them to. You can cut off their heads to make them smaller or glue tiny platform shoes on them for added height. **Q: Does the monkey, to african, to asian to caucasian accurately depict the evolutuonary process?** A: That is an old construct and there is great change afoot in the prehistoric man process. Clearly, there were numbers of people who looked differemt but were actually the same species, as are dogs today. For example, the difference between a dalmation and a chihuahua or a great dane and a pomeranian is a huge difference, but they are the same species. The differences between a Neanderthal, Denisovan, Homo erectus and us is not nearly as different. You might find my tiny little western hemisphere population origins paradigm interesting at https://www.amazon.com/People-Americas-Before-Glaciation-Concluded-ebook/dp/B075311MJ2/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=bonnye+matthews&qid=1572116784&s=books&sr=1-4. It goes into greater depth. The definition of species includes the rule that those of the same species can successfully mate and produce viable young (young who can also have young). Most people carry Neanderthal DNA and some, like me, also carry Denisovan DNA. I am persuaded if they ever find Homo erectus DNA, I'll carry that too. That means that Neanderthals and Denisovans are part of my ancestry and I am their viable young. Kind of throws a monkey wrench in the lock step view of evolution. But that's science. Science changes as data changes. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐ Two Stars *by R***H on 9 April 2017* not very well made ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ vielfältig nutzbar, anschaulich für Kinder, vergleichbares nicht zu finden: gelungenes Modellset der menschlichen Evolution *by B***R on 20 April 2017* Obwohl man mit diesem Set auch spielen könnte, ist es doch primär für pädagogische Zwecke entwickelt und hergestellt worden. My son enjoys playing with them. They are good for little hands but have spears so I would only consider for ages 5 and up. ## Frequently Bought Together - Safari Ltd.
