There was absolutely nothing anybody could do to make it go away. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I needed *by C***M on January 23, 2020* I've been trying to simplify the pedal board and this thing does the trick for the most part. All I was looking for was a delay, reverb, chorus, and distortion. Everything else with this pedal is total bonus. I'm in a gigging band that does quite a bit of travel as well, so having a smaller footprint without sacrificing too many options is quite important. Pros: - Versatility. I'm a 4 cable guy for the most part, but there are times I'm not. This thing can do either. Moreover, it can be stereo out on the fx outputs. PLUS a headphone out that could be utilized if one were so inclined. - Sound. The thing sounds pretty dang good and is much better than I was expecting. The Dist/OD are analog are very good. I read some comments about wanting the OD to be more TS'ish. That would be nice for sure. I already have a very good TS clone, and it's not a big deal keeping that on the board to run with this thing. The OD is good though, but definitely TS'ish. The pedal sounds great on its own with the IR but also sounds good running into either of my tube amps. I need to fiddle a little more with the reverb to find something that's a keeper. - Reliability. I just got it, so we'll see. But it's built pretty solid so barring my roadie dropping my case again or my amp head falling on it again in the trailer, I think this thing should last a while. Knobs, buttons, and switches are all solid. I've hauled to practice a few times and one gig thus far. No issues whatsoever. - Options. This thing has a lot of options. In fact, maybe too many. I love the the assignable CTRL button. It'd be useless if it were menu driven, but changing it's assignment is easy squeezy and the params available for assignment are good choices. I use the boost and dst/od bypass the most. The routing options for the different fx are a great feature. - Software. Being able to hook up the unit to my pc via USB and edit stuff is awesome. - Value. For the price, you couldn't get the number of pedals the Cerberus incorporates unless you went very budget. - Layout. The layout is pretty intuitive. The one thing that might help would be something to visually divide what knobs are what effect for the delay/reverb and chorus/modfx. There are enough lights and status feedback to always know what state the unit is in. That's huge on stage. - Size. For what this thing does, it's a small enough footprint I can throw it in my gigbag to take home instead of hauling my pedal board. (I do have a large bag. *eyebrows*) Cons: Not really too many but I do have a few little gripes. - Delay Tap Tempo. The switch for tap tempo can be accidently held too long and end up in a different mode such as preset from manual or edit. It's also easy to accidentally step on the CTRL button when I've got the stage boots on and I've got a small foot. Size 7 boot. It's only happened a couple of times, but it has happened. BUT, the expression pedal output can be setup to use an external switch, so that's what I do. I already had a spare switch pedal for my Boss DD7 so problem solved. - Tuner. The onboard tuner is a nice feature. However, it's triggered by holding the CTRL button down which will trigger whatever the CTRL button is assigned to it first. So if I'm on boost it's a bit loud until the thing engages and then mutes. Workaround is turn down the vol. on the guitar first, but I'm just used to how my tuner pedal works and I keep that on my board anyway, so I only use the onboard tuner when I pull this thing off my board for home practice. Overall: I love it. I had been using a little multi effect pedal and it didn't have any where near the options/features as the Cerberus for basically the same effects albeit at a much lower price. I'm not too picky when it comes to tone. I know the overall sounds I'm after and this thing hits them and does so better than I was expecting. If you're in the market for something with more bells/whistles like a Helix or something similar, this might not be for you.
